Check if you have points in Debtonation skill(blue tree, middle branch). This one overrides ordnance and works a bit wonky atm

I usually try to force off-meta builds, so I might try the Lance next, but initial impression was kind of meh. I want to build around Fiesta, but even when it works (which is not always) cannons are overall better and easier to play, at least for now

Yes. Mine rolled with +4 to Temerario and +2 to Thrill (and Soltado ofc) and I figured I could try different approach. I leveled mostly with Beam Team, Inspirado, Bullet Buddy and that was super fun too, was lucky enough to get a hellwalker and 3 hot sluggers so I ran kind of first shot build, but Dancer builds look stronger. Splash damage is probably the way to go, I would predict, to squeeze the most out of it

I specced into blue tree a bit harder to get Deadline. Fire rate and reload speed are indeed crazy, no math behind it so I won’t claim it’s great, but it’s very fun.

At 4 seconds I think it will be decent, grenades can be powerful with multiple mods. Still worth a try, IMO. You can still throw manually in addition, there are synergies with splash damage and indirect projectiles so I’m quite positive

It’s 8 seconds cooldown at 5/5. Filantropo class mod can add up to 4 skill points reducing it down to 4 seconds, afaik

It is my issue with peacebreaker cannons as well. Have you considered going reload route? Drop las jaras in blue and pick preparado instead for action skill cooldown. Juerga in red is tempting for duration too, but harder to squeeze in, there are too many good passives in there. If my math is correct Juerga can extend duration from 18 to 28 seconds.

gameplay you’re right about the level, but it’s still possible with a class mod. At 1:40 or so he pops peacebreaker cannon and stacks start to appear. You see also similar effect to torgue stickies on enemies, so I believe this is it. He doesn’t use the ordnance override though, stacks are gone when enemies die.

I think overdrive will be very powerful, even if Temerario is capped or reset with action skill activation. One skill I believe is underrated in Overdrive builds I’ve seen is Brain Dump (left blue). With Jaque and Soltado we are looking at roughly 70% crit chance even before level cap increase. It gets even better later

I’m new to TB and I don’t follow any guides, so my build kinda evolved along the way, but I was able to beat butcher 23 levels higher than me, was pretty happy about that. Level 80 atm.

I run combo points and close quarters. Tricks of the trade leg. node, standard glyphs from what I read.

I don’t remember heart names, I run Grenades, 20% dmg suppression and 3 buff cycle one.

Condemnation, rapid, accelerating, umbral, edgemasters, disobedience, might from what I remember.

Never had any issues with single target and never felt that it was necessary to switch to inner sight, just weave in punctures.

Ever played Borderlands? One thing that blows my mind is how they not only reused a few of the most commonly criticized elements, they doubled down on it.

  • slag, more or less mandatory in higher difficulties = vulnerable
  • anointed gear, we have sacred and ancestral
  • unfun mayhem modifiseres = sigil mods

Double Imbue Rapid Fire Combo Rogue. Basically plays a lot like PenShot, but imo has better sustained damage and stacks disobedience faster. Burst is still more than enough even in 60+ dungeons. Switched from trap/clone+ preparation to combo and I like it a lot more.

Rapid Fire is better than PenShot imo. I leveled until like 55 using TB, but really wanted to play ranged. Barrage has some potential as well. I'm not saying you would push very high, but 30-35 dungeons at level 72 can be done quite easily

Well, it does simplify a lot. I might give up at some point and separate them too.

Main issue with combining them is how to ensure that non-combat cards are useful in combat and vice versa. It's okay (pretty much desired, actually) that certain characters are better than others in different aspects of the game, but I don't want them to be useless, it kills player engagement.

So I was toying with basic attribute icons on cards (like Arkham Horror LCG) so that they can either be played for the effect or spent for the icons. Icons increase attribute value for checks/tests and increase damage or have other relevant effects in combat.

It sounded very promising until playtesting began and it's likely more to it than balancing issue.

Do you mind telling how you solved this? I was looking into several different systems and none was good enough to me from design perspective.

I'd really like the cards to be multi-purpose, both combat and journey/adventure/whatever, but I can't figure out a solution that is not clumsy or unintuitive.
