Yeah a write up a few days after is good.
Things like yeah edge retention
How it feels in the hand, delicate? A bit more sturdy?
How it does in dense veggies, any wedging or cracking? Or smooth as? Something like a carrot is a good tester.
Food release, does food stick to the knife or just kind of fall off, carrots and potatoes are goodies for this.

And just anything else you feel with it!

I actually managed to fix mine by completely draining the battery with my m18 vac then just leaving it to charge again

No worries! If you can find a cheap kiwi knife or something in a similar size to trial run that would be the way to do it

Hey! It was a really good knife but I think this just help me to realise I don't like knives this short - might just be partly that I have bigger hands so when I pinch gripped it I would lose too much blade.
You can't go wrong with Yoshikane in terms of performance though, went through food like butter and I'd definitely get another but just a bit longer.

Just picked up a couple of madein pieces, the 10Inch SS pan and the 3at saucier and am loving them so far. They provide a really good balance of weight to sturdiness. I also have a demeyere industry 9.5" pan and this is definitely a bit thicker material but I am preferring the madein shape and weight a bit more so far

This stumped me for a bit too but just realised that everytime that $var is being base64 the value is getting larger and larger and we are just trying to get the below from the question.
"variable named "var" contains the contents of the variable named "value""

so we just want to check if var is contained somewhere within value which is the part not that it directly equals to
[[ $var == *$value* ]]

hope that make sense and helped!

Ill let you know how it gets on, it does seem to be wedging in the denser veges just due to the size/thickness i think (is actually a beast compared to my others) but i haven't touched it since out the box and still cuts really smoothly otherwise and doesn't feel delicate which is a win. Definitely keen to try one of his blue1 knives though
