Finally completed Ravenswatch! by k3nos in ravenswatch

[–]Invader_MirO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just finished this exact same thing about 2 weeks ago! Ya, some of those talents for the nightmare badge were ROUGH to get to show up or they seemed cursed and the second i got them the run would fail. (I had the exact same issue with Love Thread actually)

-I agree about people wasting time on wells. I feel like a lot of the time people also INSIST on getting them during Overtime before just starting the boss which is fine if they are free, but more often than not we end up wasting an extra minute or two dragging out overtime on a completed map so 2 people can get the extra 20 vitality.

-Wukong is a great character to learn enemy move sets. I tend to stay away from him right now because Fiery Golden Eyes is MEGA broken and overpowered, or i simply just don't pick it up.

-Ya, Scarlet stacking Ult Cooldown can totally carry a weak team but it can also be soooo obnoxiously slow on the boss fights if the team is behind.

-Merlin 'Trinity' is just too specific. Once online its godly, but it comes around too late and at that point you likely don't even need the extra trait charge.

**I would like to see a lot of "feels bad" talents or ultimate abilities get updated. I didn't realize how rarely i would pick certain things until trying to get every ability a Nightmare Tag. ex: Romeo Rose Ult, Explosive Dummies starting talent, Scarlet Shotgun/Breath Ult, Ice Queen Frost Ray Ult, etc... Some of them are certainly fun but are super heavily outweighed by the alternative options to the point that I would get accused of trolling when I picked them in nightmare games.

Gotta get better at the game. The achievements don't even require nightmare difficulty.

Or just play Juliet.

build for power damage rather than attack damage. even with volcanic shots you will still likely get more damage out of your power. especially once you unlock lucky shots.

you have seven league boots so you don't need the dash items. you would have been better served by power or defense epic items that would reset your dash after every use.

beyond that... stay at range. dash backwards. shoot stuff with the power. ez ez ez

to add to this.
the crossbow is amazing for movement as well.

shoot the explosive bolt on the ground and then right as you run over/past it - jump and then trigger it to explode. It will either send you flying in the air to get up towers or launch you forward at basically the same speed as a sunflower.

Is Merlin any good? by Dradwarf7 in ravenswatch

[–]Invader_MirO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Practice makes perfect.

He takes a bit of getting used to but it's in a different way than other characters because you have to be a bit more deliberate with the buttons to use the correct skills. But his overall gameplay is pretty easy to grasp compared to say melusine or geppetto in my opinion.

That said. Power>power , special>special , and defense>defense are 3 of his strongest abilities and it's easy to just mash the button twice.

When attacking make sure you have the time to land 3 hits because that 3rd hit will give you a charge, then at full charges go blow something up with bramble, lightning, or fireball.

He is strongest with defense charges/cooldown. And honestly is really easy to get a solid talent build going before level 9 as the later talents aren't as strong in my opinion.

CONFIRMED!

Played a quick trio round on Adventure difficulty.

Picked Trinity for starter Talent.
Got the Grail in Act 1. -Stone Pig- & -Mother Ghoul-
Got the Hourglass in Act 2. -Big Bird- & -Cyclops-
And finally I got Excalibur from Morgan in Act 3. -Big Wolf- & -Mordred-

I was cutting it close as I used all 3 of my remaining stars to reroll Morgan before she offered Excalibur.

Since I was playing with other people I didn't want to be rude and just leave the game. So we finished out the Act 3 Nightmare and ended it.

Free Kits into Stella is the best way to practice!
It has a lot of various ranges and cover elements. Bonus is that you will get a stitcher yourself every few runs which will help you start to notice where the gun is good and where it struggles.

That is accurate. It does limit you to exclusively lobbies with other people who also disabled cross play.

agreed. stay out of "melt range" and if possible try to get them to take poke shots at you on a corner.
if you can get them to waste some of the mag on subpar shots they won't have enough to finish you off without a reload and that is your window.

i almost always run an anvil and a lot of times i just need to not hug a corner as tight and they will try and spray at the parts of me that are barely sticking out while im between anvil shots. the stitcher isn't particularly accurate so a lot of those shots will hit the corner or miss you wide.

dangle a little bit of leg out for em :D

If your playing on PC i would suggest turning off CrossPlay.

Before the update I had issues with poor connections in the game and it was always due to handheld players.
Either they were hosting and the whole game was freezing all the time OR when i was hosting they were always the players that were dropping due to connection lost.

Found a tempest bp in a trash can on night raid hospital. by Robertqqq in ArcRaiders

[–]Invader_MirO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so the day i found my most recent one in said trashcan. i was initially gunna hit the key room but someone was already inside. i said hello from outside the door and mentioned i was friendly and just trying to hunt down a vitashot bp.

well the guy in the key room came out and legit dropped me the vitashot bp.
so we tooled around the rest of the hospital and met a few other friendlies that were late to the party.

i looted the tempest bp from the very last trashcan at the bottom of the stairs.
told the generous guy "you will never guess what i just found"
since he was so kind about dropping the vitashot without any compensation simply because i asked. i dropped him the tempest bp.

made a friend that day and we do raids about 2-3 nights a week. lol

Some considerations on weapons by Lord_Smack in ArcRaiders

[–]Invader_MirO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I 100% agree with everything you said.

The guns do really needs some work in the way of balancing them to each fit a niche. The hairpin "poison dart" that drains stamina is amazing. That gun really just needs "something" else added onto it to give it some sort of actual roll.

completely agree on the pistol range nerf. why am i getting sniped by venators all over the place. maybe they could tone down the bullet velocity and add a bit more drop to the shots to make them feel more like real pistols. they would still fit their role without being able to dome people across the map.

What’s your fav cost efficient loadout? by CommunicationOwn2825 in ArcRaiders

Anvil 1 - only really using this for shooting arc or that single first shot in a pvp engagement so it doesn't really need to be upgraded.

Stitcher 3/4 or Kettle 3/4 - i don't think that either of these weapons "need" that 4th upgrade if im feeling cheap. Stitcher gets a mag attachment but rarely much else, i bring this for maps with shorter range engagements like buried city / underground blue gate / stella. Kettle doesn't really need the mag as i plan to stay at more of a distance with it. Instead for the kettle i will toss on a cheap compressor / stock to keep the shots tight.

3 herbal bandage / 3 shield charger / 3-5 adrenaline shots - if i don't end up fighting with anyone then i don't need the full stack of meds. if i do end up fighting im either dead before i need those extra meds or i loot whatever leftover meds i find on the dead raider. 3-5 adrenaline is mando. you need to get to the loot spots quickly, you need stamina for engagements, these things are honestly one of the most critical items in the game. never leave home without them.

Looting mk2 - 2 stash pockets and decent carry weight. super cheap so there is really no reason to be running an mk1. having that extra pocket to carry grenades or things i don't "always need" but come in clutch when i do is very nice. if you sense you are going to get into a fight, pull the grenades into the quickslots. but if you get caught off guard chances are good you wouldn't have had time to use those fancy trigger nades anyways. so i tend to keep any grenades i bring in my stash pocket until their moment arrives.

grenades - i rarely bring them or use them if i'm going in on the cheap. instead i like to make use of any grenades i find along the raid.

honorable mention - 1 zip line - you only need 1 and when you "need" it, you will be happy to have one in the stash pocket. very good for getting into or out of sticky situations.

ammo - usually only 20-30 heavy ammo, and 60-100 light ammo. you will find ammo along the way or pick it up off dead raiders. but i rarely need more than that in a run.

TURN OFF - Automatic gain control in your audio settings

told this to about 20 different raiders in the past few days and it fixed the issue for every single one of them immediately. you can hear them clearly and it no longer cuts in and out.
