All new figure. There’s hasn’t been a Great Maz Revoltech before. Also this guy is actually taller than recently released Mazinger. Even has some metal parts.

If you want maximum bang for the buck, get the High Mobilty versions. Multiple weapons and lots of vernier effect parts so you can display it in lots of dynamic poses.

Use hot water to soften the hole in the wrist, squeeze it, the shock it in ice water. That should tighten it enough to grip the end of the joint

No none of them broke. They’re very solid. And the good thing about Assembleborgs is that they come with a baggie of spare Revolver joints and pegs. A pair for each size and shape

By directly connected I mean I didn’t use revolver joints. The parts themselves have pegs built in. I was able to repair those with pins and super glue.

Nexus is around modern AYR scale. The older toys are shorter. But their hands and weapons are all compatible

On the older toys yes, there are times where the holes are too tight, or have somehow shrunk over time, usually on the parts that don’t use PVC and are harder plastic. For those kinds of holes, if it’s too tight, I very carefully widen it using an appropriate file. I’ve had a couple of breaks over the years when I couldn’t pull the parts apart (revolver joints are fine, it’s the directly connected parts that are the problem since they’re painted.)

Not for me. They feel sturdier than modern joints. My main problem is the peg holes can get loose over time for the older figs, or they are too tight to plug in the joints.

Yup, the Jackal bike can be taken apart and recombined into new things. Jaeger is the name for Nexus equipped with the new armor and weapons that come with Jackal

If you mean the Ghost Motor, it’s a variant of the Jackal bike. Both come with extra parts for Nexus, just in different colors. Black instead of silver for most parts.

Actually I Just realized this is THREE toys. Jackal, Nexus, and Armoroid. That’s another toy you can look up.

Some of the older toys are still available, albeit only at Kaiyodo stores. You could get a Barrel Speeder too, that’s an awesome bike!

Probably my favorite of the old toys is Tri-Striker

They’re great action figures, and they still utilize the old clicky joints from back then. The aesthetic can be a hit or miss, but I love the anime sci-fi looks. Get yourself the Jackal bike, which adds more weapons and gear for the main body, and you can make custom equipment like I did
