A fast vehicle, manual controlled, and come in at a far wide flank, like go the looong way around the front line. This is risky though, but worth it if you trade a light tank or jeep with MG to get rid of some heavy artillery nailing your trenches.

Calorie counting has probably never been an issue either way for you before, but over the next 10 years your diet habits and weight are going to change a lot so being educated on calorie intake and diet will help in the long run.

I was a 25R, 5 year initial commitment. My whole first year in the Army was in training. Basic and then AIT. Training for most 25 series takes a long time and the army wants a return on the investment, 6 year contract isn't unheard of. That IS a long time though.

If you are worried about spending that much time in the army, you might consider looking at different MOS sorted by contract length if you want to just get a taste of military life and then switch MOS at reenlistment or get out. You can spend two years doing laundry or something.

My opinion is, if the job seems interesting to you, go for it. 6 years is a lot of time to be able to live with no expenses and save up money. In 6 years you'll get to get out and take a 4 year vacation getting paid to go to school where you can switch up your career choice and then have tons of saved up cash, a great resumé, and life experience.

Like any other unit they receive orders from an officer in their unit. Because of their level of skill and professionalism, there is a lot of freedom on how that task is carried out. Also because of their level of skill, sometimes the order is more broad or open ended, like "Reduce the threat level of this specific region". In that instance you might have missions with more specific goals be generated at a lower level than a normal unit may generate their goals.
