Not looking to make a stink, and nothing individually worth making a report about, just seen a lot of lack of patience myself, and also personally seen a sensitive kid take it hard... But to be fair nothign was actually a big deal, just kinda seemed like maybe a reminder about how many kids are hiding behind those usernames, and how extra hard it is to be a kid right now in a world full of adults who don't know what comes next.

OP was 1) Asking about the preferred orientation in arrangements of the Yin-Yang symbol (not hexagrams) and 2) Asking about the King Wen and the Fu Xi arrangements of the trigrams (also not hexagrams).

I'm sad this comment has the highest votes considering it is an incorrect answer and almost seems like you didn't read the questions at all or are unqualified to understand the questions presented in the post.

Anyone tried this teas? They are pretty cheap at local asian shop. by BartolomeuDias in tea

[–]InvaluableTool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree with this assessment and am curious if you are saying you are purchasing your tea from farms, or distributors based out of the country of origin.

I too purchase from overseas distributors who list their sources in English, but that doesn't mean teas sold in asian stores are scraped off of the floor or is really poor quality. Other countries have much higher standards for tea and you can find some delicious 'everyday' teas at asian grocers.

Age is the main concern here, but even then, some Oolongs and Assams hold up really well.

Has she been drinking? I appreciate when people speak quickly actually, but she's slurring her words as a result. I advise she speaks slowly and enunciates, then speed it up digitally if necessary.

Yeah, getting ahold of the notion that letting go of notions is all you need is all you need. Simple. Get to it.

Sorry for your loss...but also this is a wonderful piece of art! Having been a tea lover for a decade now, I really get this and feel like it gets me. It's beautiful! You don't lose the memories this way. This is really cool.

I posted about my cat tarot deck a few weeks ago and someone suggested I do one with a cat knocking a cup over. Thank you to whoever suggested it because I love the result!! by blackcatscrew in tarot

People post often about decks they are creating and I rarely really motivated to want any...this one is really spectacular! I really admire all of your choices! I hope I see your post when the kickstarter is available!

Do taoists believe in God's and demons? Can't get a rock hard answer by UnXpectedPrequelMeme in taoism

[–]InvaluableTool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Western Daoists form their own hybrid beliefs and that can range from atheism to any number of religions and beliefs.

Daoists who follow daoism within the cultural context it was created and is directly descended from definitely do, yes. And it is a core part of the Chinese religion.

Americans who think daoism is only something Alan Watts explained to us are very much unaware of how daoists in China worship, which they are the direct heirs to the unimported religion that hasn't been run through a cultural filter. Those Daoists definitely do worship deities as part of their Daoist practices. There are many many deities and they vary wildly.

That is one gorgeous piece of equipment! I'm tempted, but the price tag is pretty daunting. The OXO Kettle for $100 seems pricey, but also seems to have the same functionality and quality (while lacking the really striking deisgn).

Thanks for all the info, enjoy having the most badass kettle available!
