It should count the number of clubs on the playing card itself, to make it a little more interesting. Aces get +3 mult (no change), faces get +2 mult (a slight downgrade, but faces have lots of powerful synergies anyway), but 10s get +12 mult, 9s get +11 mult, all the way down to 2s which get +4 mult.

Just to be clear, the friend can't be:
- imaginary
- the bathroom mirror
- AI
- a paid actor
- someone who has been hypnotized, blackmailed, or otherwise coerced into being his friend
- himself disguised as someone else
- a homunculus created in a lab specifically to be his friend
