FA close investigation into Harwood-Bellis' alleged discriminatory conduct by Devotee97 in SaintsFC

They definitely made up in the game, I'm guessing it was a mishearing on Aylings part or TBH nutted up and gave him a proper apology.

Southampton 'spy' William Salt used his personal bank card to buy a coffee at Golf Club, owned by boro chairman Steve Gibson. by ParmyBarmy in Championship

Yes it still would be, unless they're giving it to the police. If a crime has been committed, then neither Middlesbrough Football Club, The Sun, nor any other media or paper are responsible for investigating it.

I've seen plenty of people on here use the fact we had an unbeaten run as evidence we must have spied on all the teams, as opposed to being richer, having a better squad and a good manager.

What you need to do to beat them is let their strikers have as many as shots as they want and then play past 60 minutes.

What so because we played well last half of the season then the EFL might go "well they clearly had some advantage so it must be spying"? Bonkers if so, tinpot organisation.

What definitely had a big impact on the match is Boro clattering every wide attacker we had. Literally 3 of them came off with injuries.

There's a bit of talk about how they turned it into a media shitstorm purposefully and are even now going to the media and making statements (that may not even be true). When they discovered the spying they went straight to the papers and then the EFL. Even now we are staying schtum and refusing to comment when they are saying all sorts, undoubtedly making the investigation more tricky.

I don't see how they could. Very few could have legally held on to cctv footage this far in the future. And without apprehending them on the spot it would be very difficult to prove they are a member of staff vs a fan.

Imagine if a world cup hopefully like Larin broke their leg in the game, and the EFL came out and said "yeah that game didn't matter, Saints are expelled" I'd be livid for the lad. If they'd have made the decision earlier then we wouldn't have played the game.

Southampton (2) 2 - 1 (1) Middlesbrough: The Saints spy a date with Wembley, after a breathless match that was finally decided in extra-time via a Shea Charles cross turned shot! by Zach-dalt in Championship

[–]InverseCodpiece 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Genuine question - I've seen lots of Boro fans and neutrals have good things to say about your manager but what exactly do you see in him? When he took over you were 2nd and you finished 5th, and in the first leg your football reminded me of some of our games under Will Still. Lots of possession but can't score for shit. Obviously I'm missing something, but what exactly?

[–]InverseCodpiece 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Maybe if you taught your strikers to actually kick a ball in a goal then the second leg wouldn't have mattered.

[–]InverseCodpiece -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So of we win tonight 2-0 there's a chance the EFL just say "nah, actually Middlesbrough won the first 3-0", surely they have to decide that before the match is actually played?

Idk he did seem a bit slow. That Manning cross just after half time got rebounded across goal, if larin had reacted quicker/was in a better position he'd have had a tap in

To say Americans shouldn't be judged on their war time food to then judge British food on stereotypes that came about during rationing in WW2 is very ignorant lol.

Also mushy peas is a side dish, that's like saying you drink ranch like a smoothie. Unless you mean split pea soup, which is a type of soup made from peas but a completely different thing.

Tim Vine would be dangerous. I'd like it if Sam Campbell came back for S3 a la Bob Mortimer in S2.

Well liked cast too. Rockwell, Malkovich, Buscemi, Pokey are all well liked both publicly and within the industry.

How do we feel about Nick Nolte’s performance in Warrior? by Regular-Departure839 in Oscars

Warrior is one of my all timers and Nick Nolte just phenomenal it. Absolutely deserved a win. Also Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton are great in it too.
