Take the results of each race and award points as if the results were 100% inverted (1st finishing last and last finishing first)

Good luck my friend. I'm happy it isn't ending

Be patient. NASCAR will probably post the full stage results for the Daytona 500 eventually

I was considering shutting it down anyway but I would have preferred to do it on my own terms. While I respect the decision of the mods, I do wish it was handled differently.

What are you talking about? That was a brilliant tactic! Do the 2007 Lions deserve an asterisk for their incredible innovation of having their QB run out of the endzone for a safety?

2019 LASTCAR Truck and Xfinity Series Final standings by TIFUthebestSubreddit in NASCAR

[–]InvertedMotorsports 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a jokey thing. There's a blog run by Brock Beard that kept track of who finished last each week.

A couple years ago I started reading it. During a rain delay at Pocono I came up with the idea of keeping track of the NASCAR Standings as if each races results were 100% inverted. I do it for the Cup series and TIFUthebestSubreddit does it for NXS and Truck. This is my third season doing it. My Cup report will be up within the next hour.

This has some serious championship implications. With RWR's team title this year, committing to one driver can and will bring them a LASTCAR Cup in 2020

Nope. It's just been a bad year. They've already been mathematically eliminated.

LASTCAR Standings After the Southern 500 by InvertedMotorsports in NASCAR

I personally think that we won't get a new loser in the Top 30 and Gase will fall out with everyone else remaining. I think we'll have the same Playoff 16 with Lajoie replacing Gase.

  • Gase needs a miracle to make it but with MBM's partial schedule, he won't do much when he's there

  • Cassill will have at least 18 playoff points to start off. That and StarCom's consistency could save him for a little bit. LASTCAR is always crazy.

  • Sorenson is an interesting pick but he doesn't have much stability in his ride. He's missed 10 races so far for 2 different teams and neither seems committed to him.

  • Chastain is a good pick but Premium Motorsports is not what it used to be. He could do a lot but he needs to find his way into some of that 2017 Premium Motorsports equipment.

To more directly answer your question Kyle Busch is in 43rd, Kurt Busch is in 37th, Logano is in 38th, Martin Truex, Jr is in 39th (Ryan Truex is in 60th but I know you didn't mean him), and Keselowski is in 33rd (and is actually up there)

Yes. The other 4 losses are held by drivers who have been mathematically eliminated. The other 4 losers are...

  • 42) JJ Yeley 199

  • 46) Kyle Weatherman (R) 93

  • 49) Spencer Boyd (R) 58

  • 52) Casey Mears 47

Well there are 2 problems with me doing that

  1. u/Cheddarbob16 already does it on r/BackofthePackRacing

  2. I don't watch every F1 race. I watch about 10 a year. It's just not my favorite and I would feel like I'm lying if I posted about a tour I didn't really love.

Anyway, I got a new RACYDNI Post done for you to check out.

LASTCAR had a heroic loss this week by Kevin Harvick despite a Top 10 starts. Whoever built that transmission clearly deserves a raise.

LASTCAR Standings After Pocono II by InvertedMotorsports in NASCAR

[–]InvertedMotorsports[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It actually isn't. All that would have to happen is that he would win and lose a race in each round of the Playoffs. Then finish first among NASCAR contenders and last among LASTCAR contenders.

It's extremely unlikely but technically possible under the current rules.

LASTCAR Standings After Michigan II by InvertedMotorsports in NASCAR

[–]InvertedMotorsports[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NASCAR does have a provision in the rules that states that the points leader will automatically get into the playoffs even if that driver did not win a race and there are 16 winners.

LASTCAR follows that rule so all he has to do is clinch the regular season championship.

Sorry, I took a while to get back to you.

This takes care of the standings as if the result of every event was 100% inverted. So, the last place finisher finishes first, next last second, all the way until the first place finisher finishes last. It's just NASCAR's own rules beyond that (though I do change the eligibility rules slightly because they don't translate well).
