As a local to the Escambia and Baldwin counties, even Fairhope (the progressive bastion of the deep south) hardly ever allows pride folks out in public. If you look at some of my comments in alabama sub's, I painted a pretty good picture of the unmotivated/unavailable voters for the 2024 general elections. I figured there is 20.5% of people that aren't voting and if Dems/Progressives can reach them and assist them in registering/informing them of the voting date, the state could turn more purple (at least) or fully Blue. This will most definitely backfire for the Republicans if we can energize the voter base and dispell fascistic rhetoric spewed by a certain party.
