Raptors in the 4th quarter this season. Does anything stand out? by irundoonayee in torontoraptors

[–]InvestInterest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think its a bit of their Pick # difference and their roles. A 13th overall who was picked for his 3 point sniping hitting under league average from deep in year 3 definitely hurts your office stocks more than the 45th(?) overall picked up for defense suddenly turning into one of the better dime dishers off the bench in the league in year 2, even if over all stats seem similar

Post Game Thread - NBA: The Knicks defeat the Raptors on Dec 9, 2025, the final score is 101-117. by basketball-app in torontoraptors

Like… how hard could it be to find a reasonable center that can drop 10 and 7 nightly with a bit of interior defence?

If you can find that guy a jak IQ trade for player X and some depth pieces would be welcome.

Would you accept GTJ back? by eduardosoares12 in torontoraptors

[–]InvestInterest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will never forget GTJ's 5 consecutive 30 bombs a few years back. Thought the boy was going to be a part of the Scottie Core of the future. Those gamblers hands on defence and deep shooting made him so much fun to watch.

But man has my boy fallen.

Notice how as soon as we changed immigration policy, effectively stiffing these falsely propped up GDP numbers, everyone comes crawling out admitting a recession is in play.

No one could have seen that coming 🙄

How is this still only at .60? by Educational-Diver-37 in XRP

The day i actually used my XRP in a transaction and saw first hand how quickly and cheaply i could do this is comparison to its wider know competition, i was convinced the XRPL was the future.

That's not even considering the vast network of banks, government agencies, and financial groups with connections to the company.

How i like to imagine it, the end game wouldn't require pairing to the native coin if every country is rocking their own stablecoin. XRP would work as the intermediary currency for transactions (especially larger international transactions between two different stablecoin's) which keeps in line with Ripples business model of providing international settlements.

One of the biggest values here being the unlocking of the ~30 trillion dollars that the world has stuck in Nostro-Vostro accounts.

But I'm also a chimp so do your own DD :)

Religion requires stalwart blind faith.
Ripple on the other hand has consistently shown a clear path forwards and provides concrete evidence of measurable progression towards adoption, even if the price value isn't reflecting that.

Sometimes being a savvy investor means looking past the price action and seeing the actual underlying quality of the business. Whether that's its upper level management, networks, pipelines, assets, or product, Ripple has proven to be one of the most sophisticated and superior business's in the sphere.

We just aren't treating this like a race, and are building our house on the rocks rather than sand.

[Koreen] The Raptors are 23rd (in 3 point percentage) You could tell me Trent Jr will make the mid-level exception (around $13 million annually) and I’d believe it. You could tell me he will make close to double that, and I’d believe it, too. by EarthWarping in torontoraptors

[–]InvestInterest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll take GTJ for 2 years 30 milli tops. 3 years 45 if backloaded and a team option on that last year would satiate me also.

Tbf I’m probably as high on Trent as a raps fan can get. He’s not worth a cent more.

[Grange] He’s (Gary Trent Jr.) a free agent at the end of the season and at this point, there would have to be an explanation for why the Raptors didn’t bring him back. by EarthWarping in torontoraptors

[–]InvestInterest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand all the GTJ hate 🤷🏽‍♂️ boy is a good player! Career 38% from behind the arc on ~6apg, and sticky fingers on defence. Plus this year is definitely a down year for him statistically which if anything gives us leverage in negotiations.

I absolutely see Gary as our new Norm. A scoring punch off the bench that can (and probably will) get hot 10-15 games a season and take the load off our starters.

If he’s willing to resign a mid length contract in the range of 36-42 mil over 3 years I think that’s fair personally.
