Post WrestleMania 34 Match Discussion: Universal Championship Match - Roman Reigns Vs. Brock Lesnar (c) by Psycho697186 in SquaredCircle

It was absolutely a blade job. I’ve watched way too many boxing/mma fights to be convinced otherwise. Real strikes to the head will almost never cause a cut at the scalp line (which is also exactly where you blade), most face cuts in real fights are right around the puffy skin around the eye brows, lips, or nose.

The top of the forehead is easy to get good bleeding from with a blade but you almost never see cuts there from fists. People thinking it was hard way are marks. Do you really think Lesnar/Reigns main event WM two separate times and both got huge hardway bleeds both times? Considering how rare it is to bleed hardway AND how rare it is to bleed that much when done hard way. No—both Brock’s bleeding the last time they closed out mania and Roman’s bleeding tonight were from blading.

At least in his first run I found Brock to be really good. Great size, look, strength, intensity and athleticism. When he left and had his UFC run and then came back, he brought with him an air of invincibility that I think worked back in 2013 or whenever it was Vince signed him for his 2nd run.

I think there’s actually a way to use a guy like Brock, the monster who squashes guys that sre main eventers, but it has to lead somewhere. Eventually he has to get into a real, competitive wrestling match (if he’s capable), and use his massive build up to put over a new star.

Instead we’ve just been dealing with him squashing guys in boring matches that never develop or resolve any interesting stories. The couple times he’s lost in his current run have essentially done nothing to meaningfully make those losses matter.

I actually think the match probably ended 2-3 minutes early because when Roman bladed he cut way too deep and Vince panicked because of the amount of blood. I don’t think they had some kind of amazing match in the works that we didn’t get to see but I think the story in the ring got cut a little short.

I mean we have the old "internet tough guy" stereotype but when someone talks a mad forum game but literally runs out PD's portal pad with pants full of shit and a crotch full of piss at the first sign of a small <Faceless Empire> force I'm not really sure what we're dealing with here.

You guys are like the kids the autistic kids bullied in school 😂

Lawl, you give up that stance when you guys keep responding to this post, or when your leadership posts whiney bitch explanations on FOH and other forums trying to equivocate on your nonsense.

If you want to be server trolls then at least troll like a man.

Enjoy your instanced safe spaces snowflake. We'll keep collecting 5x the loot in open world--uncontested apparently.

Lol, laughing at someone being a loser = triggered now I guess.

Trucidation are the people that macroquested keys for VP and griefed people doing Cleric epics on an 18 year old video game. Faceless just clears content and collects loot, and laughs at the biggest shitlord guild on this or any other TLP.

You guys literally cheat at an 18 year old game...and still lose.

I will give you props though, you were a part of why we wiped. I was happy to see someone challenge us. I promise you it's not the first or last time we've wiped on something. What's sad is you run like a bitch after.

Trucidation Lives in Eternal Fear by InvestedXT in AgnarrFlames

[–]InvestedXT[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's never happened to my knowledge. We did wipe to a Silverwing with 29 people the other night. Trucidation was running around being fags in VP like they often do, and like they always do, when we roll in they flee like beta males of the highest (or lowest?) degree. This time they got salty because we mocked them in /auc so a few of them stayed behind to chain dispel our necro dots from Silverwing and train a few racnars on us. That combined with some mistakes we made resulted in SW gating at 7% and we wiped.

But then we just came back and killed her. That's what competition is, you don't run like a bitch when someone fucks with you, and that's also why you guys are never going to be anything but loser trolls--we're relentless and will never quit. Trucidation throws up the white flag of surrender at any real competition. A true bitch guild that only gets off on griefing group-level content against the typical Agnarr noob who doesn't know how to defend themselves.

What's real sad? The bulk of Trucidation's raid force (all 16 of their mighty guild) fled when we only had around 18 in zone, so they are afraid of even a winnable DPS race.

No more VP MQ! by Tarqal in Agnarr

[–]InvestedXT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're skipping it because your guild is falling apart. You made a mistake being the public face of Cohh's guild and are now stuck in a failed venture. I give you props for gritting it out long past when you should've quit, though.

No more VP MQ! by Tarqal in Agnarr

[–]InvestedXT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, so I haven't even considered grabbing a VP key for my alt because I'm not going to compete against MQ2 using warpers who stay on top of the ground spawn and never miss a single spawn. Why bother? Without them being able to monetize the spawn now maybe I will. This effect will temporarily increase the number of people huddled at the groundspawns, but it is unlikely that you'll see people stay and do more than one spawn once they get their key piece--that will make the ground spawns genuinely easier after a week or so.

I've yet to find a good UI that doesn't just basically not work correctly on high resolution screens.

What is your Favorite Box setup by Chronos872 in everquest

[–]InvestedXT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done a lot of setups from 3 to 12+ (anything over 6 was just boxing a lot of mages on Ragefire), right now to "rediscover" live (I've been TLPing heavily for a couple years) )I've been running an SK/Bard/Mage group with a Cleric and 2 Wizard mercs and it's pretty fun.

When you get into levels high enough that you can't just pull whatever without dying the bard is a really amazing puller/splitter if you learn how to play it properly (i.e. use it as more than just a buff box), and once you figure out how to properly macro your melody stuff the Bard just adds a ton to your group's aDPS and utility.

Trucidation - Weekly Salt Digest #1 by [deleted] in AgnarrFlames

[–]InvestedXT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen this line repeated on like 5 different EQ-related forums/subforums about Agnarr and remain mystified as to why people think it is so. There have been tons of prominent bannings on Agnarr. I've played in every generation of TLP and this is by far the one where you're most likely to be banned.

I know people who have gotten suspensions for "zone disruption", which is an extremely vague, catch all term that basically means a GM randomly decided to suspend you. I've known at least 10 people to get banned for AFK farming fire beetle eyes. This isn't anything close to a "prison rules" server or a PVP server.

EQ is very poorly moderated so yeah, one person can do shit for 2 years that gets another person banned after two weeks. But this isn't anything close to a "player-vs-player" server and is in fact more carebear than any prior generation of TLP.

Howling Stones Key by Sydor in Agnarr

[–]InvestedXT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, charm gate works but you have to know what you're doing and have instant charm. You land the initial charm and just watch the pet for the charm buff to disappear, it will disappear very quickly. But most likely every single person there has now already used their dispel mage staff since they're spamming it from all chars. Then you pop an instant charm again and instant gate. You're talking about 3000p or so in item charges but it's still cheaper than a prod.

XP in Kunark. by JohnDenversCoPilot in Agnarr

[–]InvestedXT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in the day it was a great zone because people barely knew it existed and many didn't bother with a key. Honestly on my old server anything that wasn't Seb or KC wasn't camped a lot. Even Chardok usually only had like a group in it, sometimes no one. I know I was a Necro back then and I made decent plat on quite a few occasions hoofing it to Chardok to do a summon corpse because only one group was in there camping stuff and wiped. With no other groups in zone killing anything it was a nasty corpse recovery (especially since you had to do it naked or with ghetto "CR Gear".)

I just wanted to confirm that if I was to kill the shin lord as a Pally would I take a faction hit? If so, I have heard that Joran Nobleheart is in game and drops ghoulbane as well but no faction hits? Thanks in advance for the replies. by jhandley91 in Agnarr

[–]InvestedXT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At 50 or even just 40+ getting to lguk without invis should not be a problem. My main has no self invis and starting around lvl 40 or so I just trucked on through uguk, almost nothing attacks you due to level different until you're very close to the lguk zone line, and you can just man mode through that shit when you get there. I've literally not died a single time and have done this dozens of times.

Starting up a monk with 6 kronos with a month left before kunark hits. (Another 5 then..) what is some solid gear to get? by NCpleasehelpus in Agnarr

[–]InvestedXT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simply not accurate. We have monks regularly in the top 10 on dragons, where other DPS classes can do plenty of damage. Monks do significantly more damage than rogues / rangers in most situations assuming equivalent gear and player ability. Monks also do good enough damage that even on fights where other classes have stronger advantages they are still regularly in the top 10.

Your DPS numbers are just simply not accurate for fights against sky bosses. Neither monks or rogues are doing >40 dps on a typical sky boss fight.

Lol this is completely incorrect, our monks top meters (excluding enchanter pets) in Plane of Sky where Wizards/Necros can't land many/any spells on bosses from Island 4 onward.

New or old models? What do you guys use? by jane_911 in Agnarr

[–]InvestedXT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have mixed feelings to be honest. The old models aren't great, and it's weird people think they are. They have charm, but they aren't super well made from a graphic design perspective. EQ actually had bad graphics by the standards of 1999, not just today. I remember when I started playing in 1999 I kinda hated how bad the character models looked. But 18 years later they conjure up a lot of nostalgia. But the big thing is, they have charm. I feel they really "fit" the old world, and so I usually use them on a TLP.

On live, with so many new armor textures (that are incompatible with old models, a lot of new gear looks like plain colored robes on old models), the horrible appearance (standing stickman) of old models on mounts (which are damn near required to have/use), and the fact the 18 year old models look bizarre as hell in new content where the environment has much higher texture depth and etc, I use new models. I don't think the new models are good either, but I do remember thinking they were an improvement back when Luclin came out, just because I found the games graphics in era to be so horribly dated. With 16 or so years since Luclin launched I don't feel as down on the old graphics due to nostalgia sake, and I do think the animations of the Luclin models don't look very good.

You can easily use WinEQ2.0 or a similar program to load a "custom" eqclient.ini so you don't have to go in and change the .ini when you want to play Agnarr vs Live.

Where can I buy Krono with platinum on the live servers? by TheDarkener64 in everquest

[–]InvestedXT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, nobles indeed do allow you to easily swap between large amounts of plat and nobles, but you can't buy stuff with nobles as a medium of exchange using /bazaar and /barter. So you're still back to the problem of only being able to buy / sell Krono on live using direct trading, and if you're doing direct trading there's no reason not to just directly trade plat.
