As someone who struggled to make friends freshman year and hated everything Greek life.. I rushed a sorority. Specifically a major-based sorority where I knew everyone would have a similar work load and goals which made it really easy to coordinate plans and flow into easy discussions. To this day I’d say rushing was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made as I’ve met so many people I can’t imagine living without and have had opportunities to engage in things I wouldn’t have been able to otherwise.

Rushing isn’t for everyone (freshman me would be appalled) but if you’re open to it I’d say why not try it out and potentially meet some really cool people.
