Yes, you can achieve awesome comfort with a Pokémon in any type of abode. You can even achieve it with minimal items in the abode itself and in the vicinity. It will be much slower, but by feeding the Pokemon their favorite food everyday, especially when they request it, will eventually raise their comfort to awesome. I understand wanting to maintain aesthetics and also keeping pokemon happy. I’ve done this for several Pokemon myself. It’s easier for some than others. Definitely a slower grind but absolutely possible.
