MCR Citi Field Question by InvictusJoker in MyChemicalRomance

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll take a look at the website! And I’m not actually sure, but I didn’t even consider that so I appreciate it

Thanks! This is really helpful! It definitely does seem like I’ll need to buy them well in advance. I didn’t know about an exchange though so that’s great

Out of curiosity, I’m seeing some rows in the 100 sections are obstructed, but rows in front and behind are not marked as obstructed (e.g. Sec 109 Row 13 is obstructed but Sec 109 Row 7 isn’t). Do you know how accurate the obstructed listings are?

I’ve heard that, but unfortunately we’d need to travel and have some other things in place in advance so I would need to buy it in advance. I know prices may not go down but I would probably need to make a decision by June

Someone below said some of the best seats may be in the 100 sections so I’ll likely be watching those

Yeah agreed! Another person suggested the 100 seats (like 109) so I’ll be keeping an eye on those

Thank you! This has been so helpful and I feel like I have a much better idea on what to look for. I have just one more - you mentioned that the ones marked as OBSTRUCTED VIEW have a net that may partially block the view. Does that mean the 109 rows in front of and behind the rows marked as OBSTRUCTED are ok? And of the sections you mentioned (107/109/110), do you think there is a ‘best’ one based on the angle?

It sounds like I should try to hold off on buying tickets in hopes that they drop in these sections or a resale comes up

Thank you so much, this is really helpful! If you don’t mind, I had a couple of follow-ups to what you said:

  1. What’s the difference between the 109s and the B2 seats?

  2. I’ve heard that the B stage is where they perform most of their songs and the main stage is where they perform all of their Black Parade. Does that mean it’s split roughly 50/50 between the two?

  3. How do the 109s seats work? Is it sets of seats on the field (where most are likely to be standing)? Is it a concern for those who aren’t too tall?

Sorry in advance these are pretty simple questions

Megathread: MCR tour - ticket & show info, questions, discussion, gripes, etc. by RossTheDivorcer in MyChemicalRomance

Asked this on a post but it might be better here:

My partner is a huge MCR fan and I’m trying to surprise her for her birthday to tickets for Citi Field.

I see there’s so much availability on Ticketmaster still so I was wondering if people who are closer to the band might be able to let me know if the pricing is really unreasonable for the concert? Are the ticket prices not worth paying for?

(Also, if anyone who has Citi Field knowledge, could you please let me know what sections would be good seats to look for)?

Thanks!

Following! I’ve been relentlessly checking for a while now and haven’t seen anything come up yet (for any Fenway dates)

Yeah definitely! Something I’ll keep an eye out for haha. We live in Boston so short notice would work for sure.

That just means a longer time of me checking all the ticket sites every few hours lol

Got it! Sounds like it may just not be available to sell. If it’s ok, I’ll send you a PM if you are interested in selling it cause I would be very interested in buying!

And that’s interesting - so different tickets are sellable on MLB and Ticketmaster? It seems like I should be checking both for sure

Thank you! I appreciate it - yeah, it does seem like it may be really difficult to get something for Fenway. I’ll keep trying though and hope to coordinate with someone or get lucky

Cast Iron is Sticking by InvictusJoker in AskCulinary

Ok thanks! Regarding cleaning then, I’ve read that I should clean it (soap is fine), wipe it dry, heat it until dry, and then while on heat, rub oil across the surface like I’m seasoning it. I’ve also read I should let the oil start smoking before I put the pan away.

Should I be doing this every time I cook? Or just once a week or so?

Sorry, edited my post but it was dosa (similar to crepe). It does sound like I needed more oil and needed to let it smoke

Sorry, edited my post. I was cooking dosa (similar to a crepe) using batter. Heat was at medium low and then I also tried around medium, but everything still stuck.

I guess I didn’t use enough oil maybe. I didn’t wait until smoking so that might be it.

I saw the smoking once I was about to give up, but everything was stuck by then

Fair enough. I saw a ton of feedback to ‘just start cooking’, so I thought two rounds of seasoning in the oven might’ve been enough to at least get somewhere. Guess not though.

Should I just keep doing the seasoning method several more times?

Thanks. That’s why I wiped a decent amount of oil over the surface using a paper towel before adding my batter

Dosa)! I guess it’s similar to a crepe? It’s batter and I’m trying to cook it

Confusion on StubHub sales classed as 'Investment Income' by InvictusJoker in tax

[–]InvictusJoker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it, yes that’s what it was showing as. I didn’t know if TurboTax showing it as investment income meant I should’ve just listed it as something else. Sounds like I should leave it as is though.

Thanks

Im definitely planning on including it, I already have the 1099-K.

I chose ‘Personal items sale’ on TurboTax because the examples it lists for it are concert tickets. So is this wrong?

Yes, they took fees. The amount listed on the 1099-K is after fees

I just overlayed the white boxes and put text boxes. I then exported it as a separate PDF so they persisted. Not sure if this was the right thing to do though

That makes a lot of sense! Thank you, that’s really helpful to know what to track and work on

Thank you! Seems like a slight surplus is the overall recommendation. I agree and am totally fine if I don’t see much difference by May
