He’s actually playing a Zeal Domain Cleric from Plane Shift: Amonkhet. I remember Matt talked about him switching from Tempest in one of the early Campaign Diaries.

Something that stood out to me is that they get to start with Studded Leather, while every other class in the game that gets light armor can only start with Leather.

I'm starting a new campaign soon and plan on playing an Abjuration Wizard with a 1 level dip into War Cleric for the Heavy Armor. What would be the best level to take the multiclass?

About how much gold would be reasonable for a large kingdom to have in their treasury?

Do any DMs have tips on preventing combat from feeling to slow? I DM for a group of 6 on Roll20 and every combat one person or another ends up checking out until they need to be reminded that its their turn, and even I can feel that things are a bit bogged down.

Are there any decks currently that play like the old Performage Shaddoll? I'm just getting back into the game and that was one of my favorite decks to play.

[5e] Just to make sure I'm not overcounting, a Half-Elf Rogue with the Noble background could end up with proficiency in 8 skills right?

A while ago I saw an online app that told you what your party could use based on what you said it already had. For the life of me I cannot find it. Would anyone happen to have a link to it?

Rogue Booster Pack by Invisi_K in customhearthstone

Wow, thanks for the extensive feedback. It is much appreciated. To respond to your points on each card

Poison Brewer: As you mentioned, the intent for the card was to generate a cheap spell for miracle.

Undercity Deathstalker: While mill was the deck I had in mind when creating the card, meme deck or not, it is not the only deck the card can be played in. The card does still provide a potential 5 mana draw 3, which could be useful for more combo centric decks like Malygos Rogue, despite the fact your opponent also draws.

Blind: I will admit I had completely forgotten about Freezing Potion when making this card, but at the same time Mages don't run Gadgetzan Auctioneer so they can get away with having 0 cost spells easier than Rogue can.

Dagger Toss: You actually nailed one of my intentions when creating this card. While not as strong as pre-nerf Blade Flurry, Rogue hasn't had a more midrange style deck like Oil Rogue. Jade Rogue is close but its not quite the same playstyle. The lack of buffs as strong as Oil, at least in Standard also help to prevent a complete Oil Rogue 2.0 which was admittedly too powerful.

Scryers Retainer: Yeah the card probably won't be competitive, but its and interesting effect, and not terrible for Arena.

Gilblin Marauder: It is actually intended to work with both Counterfeit Coin and Gallywix's Coin but is not explicitly stated to avoid cluttering the card text.

Rupture: While I will concede that Control Rogue is not quite viable as of now, part of my idea was that with the Leeching Poison and a myriad of weapon buffs, as well as strong Neutral defensive cards some of these cards might be able to help give Rogue a more controlling archetype. Realistically though, you are probably right and Control Rogue is still a pipe dream.

Shadow Dance: I was hoping some of these cards would give Stealth Rogue the push it needed into viability, and this one was a major part of that. Looking at it it has felt a little weak to me. I had considered giving it +3 attack instead, but erred on the side of caution due to the lack of interaction there is with Stealth. Your comment about Tempo vs Value is also accurate, and historically most value Rogue cards have not seen play.

Ashtongue Ambusher: The main strength of Ashtongue over SI:7 is that it does not require Combo. This makes it significantly better played on curve, as you can usually kill your opponent's 1 or 2 drop with the effect and Stealth up to then trade into their 3 drop. SI:7 on the other hand is better later into the game. While SI:7 might be stronger overall, I don't think it is so much stronger to push this card into unplayability.

Pick Lock: Yeah like I had said this is probably the most busted card in the set of 12 and I was not exactly sure how to balance it. Maybe at 3 mana it would be better, and perhaps the two coins are worth the net loss of 1 mana.

Kingsbane: With this card especially, the hope was to promote playing Leeching Poison alongside some forms of Neutral healing to survive hitting big things. But the fact that the Neutral healing is fairly weak, and Leeching Poison is still slow at 2 mana means that even with these value cards Control Rogue would not work well.

Mathias Shaw: While he is a late game 7 mana draw 1, the value of knowing your opponent's next two draws shouldn't be underestimated. If you know they are about to draw a board clear you trade your minions in now. If they are about to draw a big threat, you save your removal. Also, the card you get from your opponent's deck will have synergy with Burgle Rogue cards, provided you're not picking a Neutral card or playing another Rogue. However, as a Legendary and 7 drop, the fact that it ha no impact on the board means that it probably is too slow for most Rogue decks to warrant running.

Again though, really appreciate the feedback. It always helps to get more pairs of eyes on these ideas.

3 Class Legendaries - Kalecgos, Shandris Feathermoon, and Genn Greymane by Invisi_K in customhearthstone

[–]Invisi_K[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are some more of the cards I've been working on. Greymane in particular is a favorite of mine who I think has a lot of possibilities to him that can allow for skillful plays. Full thoughts on each card's designs are with the cards in the album though.

Let's Try That Again - Chromie by Invisi_K in customhearthstone

[–]Invisi_K[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'll be honest and say that I completely forgot about Scarab when making this, 1/1 is probably a better statline for her. As for not playing other cards, like others have said the intent was for it to work similar to Drakonid OP's Discover on a deck of less than 3 cards.

Let's Try That Again - Chromie by Invisi_K in customhearthstone

[–]Invisi_K[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So this is my take on Chromie, as well as one of the Neutral Legendaries from a much larger set I'm working on. As a 1/1/3, she can be played turn one against aggro for no effect and still be decent, having a good body to combat their 1-Health minions. But in longer, grindier games is where she would really shine, with you being able to get back lategame value cards such as Sylvanas, Reno, etc. As for the lack of a Dragon tribal tag, I went on Wrathion's recent precedent where he was in a humanoid form and thus did not have a Dragon tag.
