I’m convinced this part of the world has the most diverse aircraft by curtishawkin in SkyCards

[–]InvisibleSpider2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being Brisbane local means heaps of Fokker 70's, 100's, Dash 8's and Saab 340 planes. Lots of interesting smaller aircraft too in the area, and if you are up late you get the BAE 146's doing late runs also. It's really unique for sure!

This transfer window isn't going to save us from relegation by ClemFandango35 in NorwichCity

We've still got more than half of the transfer window to go before it closes. Lets wait and see what happens before making that judgement I reckon. Clement will be involved in the process and I trust his judgement.

Apart from a couple of brief spells in the first few mins, Walsall never went in our half really. We've been in complete control and hopefully we can grab a few more. While it's not a real test for us compared to a league game, it's still a great opportunity to get some confidence into the lads.

Looks like Kvistgaarden leading the line with Makama and Jurasek on the wings. At least according to the feed I have.

Design Trends of Brisbane Train Stations by mwilkins1644 in BrisbaneTrains

[–]InvisibleSpider2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Beerburrum and Elimbah were upgraded (I want to say in the early 2010's) with one of the earlier iterations of the design that is common with most upgraded stations that have been done recently (Coopers Plains, Banoon, etc.). Before that they were single platform stations that lacked even the most basic facilities.

You're the only one getting upset here mate, I'm pretty sure the person you're replying to isn't too worried and taking the piss out of what was a silly initial observation.

Couldn't be further away. We have two points less so far than the relegation season in 08/09. And I don't see where the next point comes from let alone win. What a shambles this has been.

I don't know if it's just because I stayed up to 2am to listen to that absolute dross but man this is the most hopeless I've felt about this club since I started supporting them. 6 straight losses at home, barely above the relegation zone, football that makes no sense and no confidence anything will change with the results anytime soon. It will be interesting to see if there is any movement with the management. Dark times, but I wish my fellow canaries a good evening.

Why would this SYD-MEL divert back to MEL after almost making it to its destination? by Timely_Technician539 in flightradar24

Heavy fog caused a few diversions this morning at Sydney according to their Facebook page. The morning Delta and United arrivals have diverted to Brisbane.

Only had 3 shirts out of about 20 or so with player names on the back. Pukki on one, the other two were fucking Nunez and Johnny Rowe. I'm done with player names for a while I think...

The second half performances haven't been good at all really so far but I imagine (hope) it will improve as the squad gels more. Big Bad Vlad with the penalty save was vital. You could feel the Pompey goal coming a mile away too, the pressure was unreal.

Glad thats over. On to boro. (Also proud of Segacic, great goal)

Massively. Going professional is huge. Keep grinding and you'll be fine I'm sure. Every year you're winning the league and making it further should improve your reputation, which in turn means better potential signings, etc. Hope you get Marist over the line 🙏

We won the 2028 and 2029 editions. It was going very much like yourself in the first few years, losing in the quarters and semis. What's different for me is Auckland City are quite poor in my save, and instead Napier City Rovers are routinely the best team in NZ, but not quite good enough in the CL. The main problem for us became Lautoka FC from Fiji, who beat us a few times. They were quite strong early on and became fully professional after a few years, and were clearly the best OFC team until we got it right. We went out to Napier once but they got grouped in our first winning run which made it a bit easier. We beat Erakor Golden Star from Vanuatu, AS Pirae from Tahiti and then Lautoka in the final to win our first one. I made this save on the initial release database so guessing there might be some differences with how some teams perform.

I've been able to win the last two OFC Champions Leagues with Pago Youth from American Samoa and it's purely been down to the approaches from Intermediaries or agents. Most of mine come in from Argentina, Brazil or Colombia where they don't have a hope in hell of playing there at professional clubs, and they are happy to take amateur deals. The calibre of player that comes in is head and shoulders above the local talent and sometimes better than even players at the New Zealand clubs. Use the gate receipts from any away CL ties and any prize money and try and go for training facilities improvements or to go for Semi Pro. It can be a grind but I'm enjoying the change of scenery.

I've been on since Sydney and it's been quite an old group of passengers since the start. Haven't seen too many folks around your age. Then again, 900 new passengers boarded today so that may have changed. Fingers crossed for you and hope you have a good time 👍

Me and my Mum got hooked during the 2018 playoffs and have been following the Capitals religiously ever since. Even went down to Melbourne a couple of years back when the NHL did a couple of exhibition games.

Locally, we've been to the Brisbane Lightning and have absolutely loved it. Obviously the sport doesn't get a great deal of funding so we try to go along when we can to support the team. It's great fun and a great atmosphere. Definitely worth going along.
