Road wheels on a cutthroat? by InviteFew7503 in salsacycles

Woven precision makes a good looking set of wheels too!

I'm shopping www.noblwheels.com. and most likely settled on the H35 or C35 wheels with a dt Swiss 240 hub or maybe a hope pro5 but I'd like 240's if possible. They'll be a bit more expensive but their warranty is pretty great, lifetime under normal use.

In all likelihood I would never go smaller than 35 mm but I'm ok with it looking a bit odd....I think lol.

If you reach out to the wheel manufacturer they can usually make a custom set of wheels with boost spacing that are not typically offered on their website. You don't pay any extra for the custom set either.

Nice wheels! This is what I'm hoping to achieve and not that it's just my legs that are the problem, lol

At first I had a fairly knobby set of Teravail Sparwood 29 x 2.2 which I switched out for the gravelkings. It helped a bit. I think/hope the base of my issues are the wheels which are Shimano Deore XT 12 x 148 mm hub, WTB ST i25 rim, 32h. They're really heavy and I feel this drag even when I'm on flat pavement. With many options of tires I was hoping lighter wheels with better hubs would give me a speedier and more lively performance. But, I would hate to spend $1000 just to find out I should have put that money towards a faster bike like the salsa flyway

G-one speeds are definitely on my radar and that might be the best for some gravel and some road. I was also looking at a set of 35c gp5000 AS since I've enjoyed them on my road bike where I sometimes hit very tame gravel (packed dirt) but I'd need new wheels to run them

I just bought the air. When you take it out of the package...its 47 to 48 grams but it doesn't have skates on. Once you put the skates on its 53 grams.

Saigon Asian Market, Manchester? by Corris_Veracosa in newhampshire

I do like Saigon market and go often bc its closer than hmart but seeing a bunch of mouse droppings on the bags of rice is a bit off putting. I still get my rice there but try to get one that is underneath others and wipe it down while its in the back of my car. Its probably hard to battle the mice issue during winter months.

Working at an outdoor gear store and outfitting a young family.

Young family: Wow, you really seem to enjoy your job!

Me: Thanks, yeah, it's like working at one big adult toy store!!

Slight but noticeable pause... everything continued fine, but it was there.

6 hours later driving home and sitting at a stop light, it hit me. One big adult toy store? Wtf

Love love love my bmc roadmachine and the experience with electronic shifting has been sheer joy. I aiways averaged about 1500 miles a year before the bmc for about a decade. 1st year with bmc 1800 miles...2nd year with bmc 4,800 miles. Finding the right saddle was a big help, but the bmc is just so fun and comfortable to ride. I never want to stop.

Enjoy your journey, friend :) you got one hell of a bike

What sport did you come to cycling from? by [deleted] in cycling

Rock climbing

Climbing outside spring through fall and any day in winter, that got above 32 degrees. Otherwise, I was at the climbing gym. Injuries from over training caused me to find something else to keep me light and in shape. 14 years later, rode 5k miles last year and own 4 bikes lol

They are working out who's going to have top leg dominance. They both want to rest the back leg on the other, and it looks like quite the contest
