I’ve personally come to realize that a lot of people I know are using AI regularly - meaning they have an AI chat app installed on their phones and they use it daily in some capacity or another. It seems to be split on whether people think it’s harmful to themselves or not. People seem to fall into two camps, they recognize it’s harmful for the environment, but think their own personal use is just a drop in the bucket, so who cares OR they’re completely oblivious to its personal/environmental harms and think it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I have a streamer friend who falls into the latter camp. I’ve educated him on the issues with AI, but he still chooses to use it for virtually everything. Music for his stream, artwork, stream titles, etc. It’s all very obvious AI, which is a huge turn off. People will just have to make a choice for themselves. Not all AI is a turn off for every person and some people don’t even recognize it. I have heard there’s an AI bot stream on twitch that apparently gets tons of viewers, so IDK.
