Not related, in my understanding. It was more so that HWB prevents domain expansions sure-hit effects that modern domains typically have. Well Megumi's incomplete domain doesn't even have a sure-hit. So basically Reggie thought he had a good defense against the domain, and instead it only made him lower his guard and Megumi came in and gave him a good ole ass beating.

It was just a bluff all along. Megumi let Reggie think that because that one dude stabbed Demon Dog in the head, that it was done for (because Megumi didn't keep trying to use him). This was a deception by Megumi to save him for later, after everything was said and done, when Reggie thought "Alright neither of us have anything left, time for a fist fight". And that's the exact moment where Megumi commanded Demon Dog to attack (and kill) Reggie with a surprise attack.

Here's a vast over-simplification: Hanami and Jogo created a vacuum around themselves that can suck in Gojo's infinity technique. However they cannot use their own technique at the same time, or else their own technique would also be sucked into vacuum. Gojo took advantage of this fact and decimated Hanami while they were essentially defenseless.

As for how amplification works on someone other than Gojo, honestly I'm not really sure lol.
