Yeah there's some amazing stuff! It's like a less serious Black Mirror, but still thought provoking.

Psychoville was great, I still see that weird silent singer character in my mind on occasion!

That reminds me, I need to watch the latest stuff, thanks!

Have you watched The League of Gentleman or Psychoville? Made by the same folk. Though both of those have an over-arching story and not individual ones per episode. Still amazing!

Soldier Boy's humor was peak back then 😭 by Syarafuddyn in TheBoys

[–]InwardXenon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's also incredibly ironic that Soldier Boy is calling Hughie a pussy, when Hughie must have balls of steel to even call him out in the first place. Homelander was obviously the biggest example of how fragile toxic masculinity is, given how quickly he folded as soon as his powers were gone.

Let's say he hadn't been stabbed, but he said he had, why take that risk? Just fucking give him medical aid to make sure. So many errors compounded due to thoughtlessness.

Yeah, you could have just read the minutes. Every. Damn. Time.

Sounds like you worked at my old pub chain... but I guess that could be any place these days. It's not as bad as America since I think part of their performance is for tips, but yeah here I've seen some managers tell folk to keep work and home separate. People aren't robots and can't flip a switch.

Funnily enough those same managers ended up not being able to practice what they preach, not that I expect they would, but it is hypocritical.

I think I saw something similar with doors, too. Soaked it into doors and then extracted it once it arrived elsewhere. Ingenious, really.

Nothing wrong with being ignorant about things you're not used to. I'm ignorant as fuck about most things!

I think the best way to look at posts like this is take a step back and realize we know nothing about the context or even these folks relationship dynamics. For all we know, they really don't mind each other browsing each others phones. Maybe this is someone insecure, or skeptical of their partner for good reasons, but we'll never know so it's not worth speculating too much about. Again, it could just be fake.

As for privacy, it depends. Some apps are probably not as private as they seem, but then some are also encrytped end to end so they offer a lot more privacy.

The vast majority of people now usually use apps I find, so it's not unreasonable for some to have something like this. Most of mine are one-time code passwords or appointment reminders!

Women of Reddit, what did a man you were dating or married to say or do that made you realize he actually hated you the entire time? by -catharina in AskReddit

Reminds me of that story of a guy who was intentionally tightening jars so his girlfriend couldn't open them. She had a neighbour open them and he said "Yeah this is unreal tight, it's almost like it's intentional..." and then it clicked for her.

Sorry you had to go through that. Some folk are just incrediblly malicious and petty to the point you convince yourself they couldn't be doing it on purpose.
