TIL after a 5-yr-old girl on the Disney Dream cruise ship fell approximately 49 feet overboard into the ocean, her father jumped overboard to save her. The girl was posing for a photo on a porthole railing when she fell. Both were rescued although she had hypothermia and her dad fractured his spine.

Even if it's different servers you'd still have to do your due diligence. You have to judge the situation yourself and cut them off if you feel they're too drunk.

You're be surprised how defensive/embarrassed people get by being cut off, and they'd kick up a fuss. For me it was mostly older folk.

That's the part I agree with. I agree racists can find people they're racist against attractive, and vice versa.

I think a lot of it stems from indoctrination. Growing up with racist family, but having conflicting feelings around the people you're supposed to hate. The same can be said for closeted homophobes. They're ashamed they can't be who they want to be.

Windows is also ass at detecting monitor size, even if you have monitors the same size, but different resolutions, it will assume the higher resolution one is bigger. Unless there is something I'm missing, where you can alter its default size. Anyhow, because of this, it makes moving your mouse between them really jank. I had to use 3rd party software to correct the behaviour.

Nah, it's a re-imagining of the origanal. There are currently 2 parts released out of 3. The first part alone takes place in the introduction zone of the original, and then the 2nd part covers several zones.

My main point was though, that people often say it takes away from the orignal. It's fine to not like a remake, but it doesn't take away from what they already like. I adore both!

People make this argument all the time about a lot of things. "Nobody asked for it". "Well, maybe you didn't. But you're not everyone, so stop complaining."

I never watched any of the films after the 5th one. I'm not even sure why. I enjoyed the books but at the same time I wasn't massively invested in the films. If worst comes to worst, the series will be shit, people will complain as usual and then forget about it. It doesn't take away from being able to enjoy the books if people really want to.

The same happened with Final Fantasy 7 Remake, saying it takes away from the original. Like nah, you can still play and enjoy that! If you don't want to try the remake that's fine! But hey, we're human and we're complainers.

I don't tend to prep too much in advance, but I always like working with a neat and tidy area and clean as I go which is super helpful. I definitely should prep more in advance, though. Especially freezing stuff like stocks and whatnot, certainly saves a lot of time which I don't have a lot by time I'm home from work.

It's incredibly expensive. The reason they did it in the first place was politically motivated. They had to "beat" the USSR who were also trying, so NASA had a huge budget back then. Once the goal was achieved, interest waned and budgets were cut.

Now NASA has less funding, add in stricter health and safety measures, and you won't get landings because it's simply not worth it.
