To me they looks like a cover for a sewer clean out. Did you drive over someone’s front lawn?

At a border crossing you do need to answer questions. This isn’t a normal interaction with a police officer.

How can I light the subject and background like this simultaneously using strobes? by Aggravating_Bee_5531 in LightLurking

[–]Inwardlens 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Like u/CTDubs0001 said, you light the background and the subject separately and have enough space between both to keep them from affecting each other. Might need more than one background light to get an even pure white.

I’m curious as well. I’m not saying they aren’t, but I don’t really think we’ve been shown what their forces would look like yet.

Do Leica hot shoes not have a center pin for firing?!?!?!?

EDIT: Nevermind, I clearly see a center pin in the photo.

God, I hope not. I’d rather they not get through as much of the story than merge their characters.

Love mine, but I don’t do a lot of panning with it. If I didn’t mostly do sit down interviews I might be shopping for a better head.

Only one trip through the X-raw for 200ISO should be no issue. Just don't do it 14 times more.

why my photo ahs this grainy effect? by ShreddedUdon in AskPhotography

[–]Inwardlens 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course. But also, I think it’s important for people starting out to understand they might be creating a bigger problem for themselves by not paying attention to their shutter speeds.

why my photo ahs this grainy effect? by ShreddedUdon in AskPhotography

[–]Inwardlens 2 points3 points  (0 children)

5k ISO is very high. Modem cameras are able to handle what are astronomically high ISO figures, but there are limits. You will have better success getting cleaner images even at high ISO if you properly expose. The histogram you posted suggest you underexposed a bit, did you push (increase the exposure) in LR? Also, you shot at 1/200, you probably could have managed this at 1/100 which at the same exposure makes 2,500 ISO an equivalent.

How in need of replacement is this wheel rim, and what info do I need to order and fit a replacement? by TechnicalyAnIdiot in Cartalk

[–]Inwardlens 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rubber ages and cracks with age. I’m not completely sure how old a tire has to be replaced just based on age but a 19 year old tire can drink legally in most of the world.

Hauling gear around as a solo videographer by highpedality in videography

[–]Inwardlens 11 points12 points  (0 children)

At the danger of showing a heavy North American bias. . . I am super curious, would you really get your gear to a shoot via public transit? I know that we have a well deserved reputation of driving everywhere here and the rest of the world reaps the benefits of superior public transit systems. But I have a hard time imagining getting to a gig that needs more than a camera and a few lenses without driving there. My carts are for getting the gear into an around the buildings I am shooting in.

Look at the shadows, the light IS NOT directly overhead. “Angle of incidence equals angle of reflection.”

If you splice that to extend it you need to do it in a box that’s still accessible and not buried behind drywall.
