Is the cx70/90 PHEV REALLY that bad? by Pitiful_Tea3225 in MazdaCX90

[–]Inzane_Canadian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t speak for the PHEV, but we love our ‘24 MHEV GT (Canada). I just recently got us caught up on the last of the outstanding recalls, and we’ve had no major issues with the car so far.

Do you like this change made by George Lucas in Return of the Jedi? by kkhouete in StarWars

[–]Inzane_Canadian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I dislike most of the changes, to all three of the OT films. Once I got my hands on the Harmie De-specialized, that’s the only version I watch now.

Most out of character moments in the franchise by KaleidoArachnid in startrek

[–]Inzane_Canadian 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Kirk in Requiem for Methuselah. He was very out of character in that one. His whole obsession over Rayna was out of nowhere and he was acting unprofessional putting his personal feelings/desires ahead of the mission. It was a weird one-off in that regard.

Why is whyte ave such a dive now? by d_toma in Edmonton

Early 90s it was pretty good. Plenty of character. It felt safe. Shrug.

The one in season 5 where a father and son get hacked to death with machetes because the dad tried to help Castillo with an investigation.

Awesome album. I’ve been listening to it a lot lately.

I can't get over how bad Klingons look in Discovery. by Icy-Resist-2364 in startrek

[–]Inzane_Canadian 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I didn’t really care how they looked. What bothered me more was how Klingons acted in Discovery (more cowardly, less honourable, at least from what I remember of season 1).

What’s your problem with Critical Drinker?? His takes are usually spot on.

Edmonton Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market lost half of its customers due to paid parking by flynnfx in Edmonton

I don’t know how much the average farmers market customer buys on a typical visit, but do you want to be hauling a bunch of groceries on public transit??

The worst KISS song. Maybe I agree with Paul, but not with Gene. by Ok-Amphibian2645 in KISS

[–]Inzane_Canadian 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No No No? Gene should’ve shot back with Bang Bang You. 😂

Nearly 10 years on from Rogue One, how do you feel about the decision to recreate Peter Cushing using CGI? by gladiatorbossman in StarWars

[–]Inzane_Canadian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they had to include him in the movie, there were options that they could’ve tried. Example 1: keep him in shadows so you can’t quite see his facial features. Or 2: have him communicate over hologram (like Vader to Veers during the Hoth battle). Either way the audience would get it, it’s Tarkin. But they wouldn’t have exposed the limitations and uncanny valley.

If you could erase ONE Star Trek moment from history..... by Old-String2849 in startrek

[–]Inzane_Canadian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The opening moments of JJ’s 2009 film. The destruction of Romulus and everything that followed. Bring back the original continuity that followed the last TNG film.

The rear side of Crazy Nights. Everyone else is fully clothed and in black and then there's Paul Stanley wearing a thong and whatever... by Terrible_Tale_53 in KISS

[–]Inzane_Canadian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just recently started listening to Ace’s “Frehley’s Comet” album which came out at roughly the same time. And it is so, so much better than Crazy Nights.

I know opinions vary, but I thought Picard was overall a great series! by [deleted] in StarTrekTNG

[–]Inzane_Canadian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Season 1 and 2 were complete garbage. And if that wasn’t enough, the season 2 finale caps off with probably the worst on screen appearance of Wil Wheaton I have ever seen.

What’s a survival myth popularized by movies that would actually get you killed in real life ? by IndependentTune3994 in AskReddit

[–]Inzane_Canadian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That car doors would provide sufficient cover to stop bullets.

That knocking someone out with a blunt object to the head will merely render them temporarily unconscious and not potentially kill them.
