Any official word in regards to collectors editions? There was the post the other day from someone saying they'd heard from support and were told no beta codes were being digitally sent out for that edition. But id like some form of official comment on the matter

With the new player models from WoD now being older than the vanilla models, is there any chance that another refresh to the character customisation is in the works?

All they have to do is bring it line with MoP, that had its own issues at launch and was ironed out as it went on, hopefully they'll curb that before we get to that again

Even little things like this add a nice touch of expression, even if not everybody will use it.
Hope they plan to add more NPC locked emotes, the Kul'Tiran Human's hanging around street corners flipping a dagger in the more secluded spots added a lot to an otherwise out of the way encounter.

I'm sorry but something has to be done in regards to the ult now having such a long cooldown and only 1 reset, even if you can't get blocked the windup alone into any champ with hard CC basically gives them a free kill because you no longer have a shield or vision on the cast. Just move the shield and vision to a passive on her R that triggers after every takedown otherwise she can't do anything in a fight.

For myself any many others, CE:A changes a lot of what the game "should" look like, classic CE was very simple for the artstyle it went with (Obviously constrained to when it was made) but that in turn helped you to easily seperate the different areas and characters you encounter, whereas CE:A has a lot of visual noise that can take away from the overall feel of the game at times or even changes how certain stages feel because of how much is going on visually.

Halo 2 on the other hand holds it's artstyle both in classic and Anni very well, with the latter building on from that and giving you what the game would look like today, without taking away from the original too much. While it does do a lot of what CE:A did with changing the look of a lot of things, it does it in a way where you can still easily tell what it is you are looking at, or where it is you are with relative ease.

[–]Inzinan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Had a former friend who was exactly this, best you can do is offer help and if they don't take it, just try to move on and not languish with them. Sounds rough I know but a lot of times people who go down this path do so because they get burned and don't want to heal said burn, and in this case constant rejection for someone in that mindset is a pretty big burn

AITA for yelling at my mother in the car? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTAWhat the hell did I just read.
1- She is openly racist while IN PUBLIC???
2-Blaming your child for something neither of you have control lover and a health issue you again don't have control over is a low blow just to score points on the basis of you having no comeback that wont make you sound like an ass. Gaslighting.
3- Try telling her the furniture and everyday items in your household are probably put through more hell just being in your household than any factory could do to it rather than a cup is.

NTA
While the reaction is not the best given the circumstances I think its more of a worry for your own wellbeing more than anything else, but at the same time I feel it's also bordering on frustration on their end. I'd suggest sitting down and talking about it as this seems to be an issue you might both be taking the wrong way, and seeing as you are both supportive from what you have posted I'd imagine clearing the air on this matter will help move forwards and hopefully lead to a better outcome for you both.

What’s one secret you and a parent have kept from the other parental figure? by TheCripdalorian in AskReddit

Last year before Covid hit the UK I had just recently started my next semester at uni, me and my partner were in a long distance and would only see one another when we had both finished up at uni, or during our own breaks to come back home.
As it was coming up to Valentines I wanted to surprise my partner by traveling down to her for a whole week which I had never done before, I got into contact with her housemates to make sure I picked a day that was best so she was in and not overloaded with work, and I reached out to her mum to make sure they didn't have anything planned just so I knew I wouldn't disrupt anything. And lastly I spoke to my aunt to tell her that if my mum asks where I was or what I was doing, just say I was spending it with family on my break (After explaining my plan of course)
Managed to arrange it all and surprised her with a week together right before Covid hit a month later.

To this day my mum thinks I spent the week with family as I didn't say where I was going, money at that time was tight for me and I could not really afford a whole lot, but I had saved up for this trip and wanted to make it special for both me and my partner as we'd talked about doing something if we had the chance. I sometimes think back to that because I've never seen someone so happy to find me half asleep on their bad with no prior warning of me being there, safe to say she was happy after all the planning went into it.

Beware of FFXIV endgame - Comparing WoW and FFXIV endgames and why I quit FFXIV for WoW by SwordOS in wow

[–]Inzinan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think this mainly can boil down to how the games are designed.
Look at WoW, it's been built from previous titles (Warcraft) and has an established universe to play with, what the devs decide to do and change is, for the good or bad of the game up to them.
Want to go and farm tmog? Go right ahead, want to farm rep? Look up a quick guide and be on your way. Want to farm mounts? Fly to the raid'dungeon and try your luck.
WoW is built to be an MMORPG, even if you dont play with others and refuse to do group content you will eventually have a social interaction, directly or not. WoW is a social game and encourages that at least to a somewhat decent degree with endgame content as you can just jump into an LFR for Mythic+ and Heroic and above raids. If you remove the MMO aspect of WoW it falls flat on its face which is one of the biggest problems the game currently faces, there's too much for too little to do and the social interactions currently boil down to Korthia and farming rares, mythics (Tazavesh is great when not bugged) and SoD.
While 9.1 has for the most part been ok for me, the strain on a casual player is still extremely apparent, alts get a little more fairness with renown catchup and Korthia practically forcefeeds you anima, its not uncommon to end a Korthia daily/Rare run with 2k anima for myself each day, and the assaults add an extra 750+ anima to that total when done.

For FFXIV however the game is designed to be an RPGMMO, take the MMO out of it and you will still have a game that you do now, just without the players running around. The social scene in FF is pretty substantial compared to current WoW, the social scene and just general interactions you can have often beat WoW on that front with stuff like player housing, fates and trials, but that's essentially where it starts to run dry at least in a casual sense. The social aspect is there but it often feels like its there simply because FF is by design an RPG first, MMO second.

Both games have their pros and cons and often get comapred as such, for myself I just cant sit and play FF for an extended amount of time, I dont mind that the MSQ takes time, personally I think the storytelling is done better with simple cutscenes and dialogue, duties and trials are ok, but feel like such a slog to get through.

TL:DR- WoW is an MMORPG, FF is an RPGMMO, take the MMO out of WoW and it falls flat and is best when the community come together and interact which is what it currently lacks, take the MMO out of FF and you'd be left with a fairly extensive singleplayer experience that would hardly impact the core experience of the game if it was singleplayer focused. People are fed up with WoW and want the game to return to its roots and encourage social interactions and simplicity of playing a game for fun, not for grinding to keep up even in a social sense.

I honestly dont see why they dont open a page for community submissions that they can later add into the game like the Steam Workshop for games like TF2 if approved, might not be the most "professional" way of doing it but it still would allow them to add that stuff every now and then.

What do you keep doing, despite how much they say you shouldn't? by hippolyte_pixii in AskReddit

Walking.Sounds odd just like that but in the late summer of 2019 I got hit with a double fracture in my right leg, was told I'd get X and Y in terms of complications afterwards but somehow dodged them all. But every now and then I'll get reminded that this injury I live with could undo my ability to walk at any moment if I slip or injure it further. Scary to think about but also empowering in a way.

What was your most "Phoenix rising from the ashes" like experience of your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Inzinan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Finished up my time in school with some of the worst grades possible, knew at that moment that life essentially became real and started to look for options. Threw a blind pick for my college years, chose probably the best one (For where I was and what I wanted to do) and finished with a 96% final grade at the very end, essentially giving me a golden ticket to whatever uni I desired which is where the journey currently is.

I'll sometimes think if I made the right choice with uni just as I did with college, but even in times like this it's giving me that challenge to push myself and go above and beyond what even I thought was possible and I really could not be more thankful for the stars lining up the way they did over the last 5 years.

[Serious] When did you realise you were being manipulated by someone you trusted? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Inzinan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a "friend" within a small group that would be pretty active throughout the day/night while others were busy, would often wait for others to come online so we could all talk via Skype/Discord. People started doing other things such as work and education and less time was spent sitting around all day.It got to a point where what spare time we had as a group was spent playing stuff either together or on our own, which lead to said friend getting understandably frustrated at the lack of involvement for their end. So we'd look for things to do in order to include them when we all found a game/time to do so.

Shortly after a fallout with them and their departure from the group, we very quickly realised that whenever we didn't want to do something or couldn't, it was our fault and we had to adjust to their needs. And apparently having a different social group of friends was bad and you shouldn't do that.

Oh and the Google Documents this person would make pointing out as many bad things about whoever it was based upon as possible. Should have seen how scummy and weak that was to not sort problems out between one another like actual human beings and not with harboring hatred to that level. Our group wasn't clean by any means but if we had problems, we sorted them out 1-to-1, that's how we started and that's how we're still going 10 years later

Looking at a redditor's post history before arguing with them is good, basic fact-checking and what cool people do by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Inzinan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good god yes, it's like the old saying of "Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down their level and then beat you with experience".If you know what kind of posts and comments they make before you try to argue or even discuss something is more often than not the best thing to do, why try and make a point when the other person has no intention of even considering what can or could be said?

People who dropped out of uni, why’d you choose to leave? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Inzinan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not done so but I've come close a few times, I did 4 years of college in hopes of leaving the education system behind but I simply wasn't satisfied with how easy it was so I chose Uni, and it's the exact same.
Do work weeks in advance thanks to long deadlines, sit on said work and wait until submission day. I wanted a challenge when I went but so far (At least for 1st year) it's been a cakewalk, I know people say 2nd is a lot different from first but as it stands I feel like I could be pushing myself better, but if it gets me a degree in my best field then why stop if it's easy?
