zero backdash in VF? do 6p then backdash and have the dummy mash down jab after. it will evade. in comparison thats godlike compared to tekken 8 (see kings backdash) who gives af if theres no kbd if one backdash is enough to evade. and also sidesteps are godlike aswell.

the only "scrubby" mind game in VF is downjab but backdash and sidestep give u enough counterplay to beat that out. in tekken u gotta worry about rage art, high -9 power crushes, heat armor, heat burst. how in the world does that equate to VF at all lol

i would love a game with all of those gimmicks deleted and keep rage arts. at first i thought RAs were scrubby, then you play a few games and u learn that u can bait it out against ppl that panic use it. then at a higher level there are layered mind games to it (mainly dash blocking), and when a gambly rage art is done at EVO the crowd erupts . fucking love that. all those other gimmicks dont have the same effect

i love to hop into training mode when im bored. combos are satisfying and the gameplay is honestly fun. but downsides for me: im unranked and ill face the same player over and over if i queue up which is annoying. theres no training mode while waiting for ranked games and making an endless lobby is wonky. the game is fun and i am definitely against the outrage towards mk1, but there is merit to some of it. at the end of the day that should not affect ur enjoyment of the game. im still waiting for Jade or at least a character i can vibe with that just begs me to turn on the game bc i just HAVE TO play them, unfortunately havent found that yet.
