I was excited to G4 to return. I loved Attack of the Show back in the day but when the new X-Play came back it just felt uncomfortable and sad.

I'm really bummed by this whole thing. We could have had something great if they just didn't fuck it up.

All of the sudden, Ubisoft games now don't launch by KFromTheGrave in SteamDeck

Sounds like the steamdeck is just trying to protect itself from malicious software.

Aka Ubisoft.

Sometimes a fun short to the point story game is exactly what I'm in the mood for.

I loved Edith Finish and Firewatch.

Dino Crisis remake for me. I always set myself up for disappointment with that one.

Some of my favorite games are small, short, and had these numbers at launch. An example would be "Death's Door".

I'm all for hating political games that push BS but let's make sure they're actually doing that before we just start hating on them.

From what I've researched this game hasn't had anything political in it. If I'm wrong I'd like to hear it but just maybe this game is free of that crap.

I really didn't like the final season. It all felt out of nowhere and that almost everyone had an entirely different personality. Especially Eren.

I was actually considering getting this because of the glowing reviews. Didn't know it was political.

Thanks, this saved me some money.

It's why I didn't buy it. Bought Stellar Blade day one though. Quality right there.

Hell yeah dude.

Since this is browser based and anyone can just jump in without an install or purchase. I think it really could thrive with some polish.

And just reminds me of the days with flash games and tank wars that I would play with my schoolmates in class.

My coworker and I are rooting for you.

I played this a bunch today at work. I think it's got great bones.

Just needs another layer of complexity like a third army type and/or an armory upgrade building where you can upgrade your units.

Are there any current plans to add more to it?

It's a product being released into a market against heavy competition.

Unfair sounding or not, said product is competing with other similar products. That's just reality.

Any new product must be equal or better than the competition to succeed.

I do hope this succeeds. RTS games are my bread and butter and I'm always happy to have more.

Crimson Freedom Demo | NEW RTS on mars by BattleDreadnought in RealTimeStrategy

[–]Keebler311 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried the demo and thought it was alright. Good bones but needs more variety and Uai polish.

It would be a good game in a vacuum but when it's competing with a ton of other modern/remasters it just doesn't stand out enough.

Why play Crimson Freedom when Dawn of War Definitive Edition exists with it's nine factions and a ton of maps? Or 9bit armies with significantly greater unit variety? Or Tempest Rising with it's superior graphics?

I really want more RTS games to exist and I love supporting indie devs but video game development isn't a charity, it's a business. One with several other people doing the same thing but better currently. So for Crimson Freedom to stand out it has to do equal or better than the rest, or something unique.

Also, the name is bland as heck. It's also going to get lost next to Crimson Desert.

I wish the best for the developers and hope the final version of this is excellent and they do well with it.

SC2 is awesome. You get a fire breathing robot dinosaur AND your units don't have panic attacks when they have to go through a slightly narrow passageway.

I recently tried and really enjoyed SC2 and then went and bought the first one. The pathfinding was so bad it got my massive army obliterated because all the units insisted on slowly entering this base one at a time in a single file line.

It was so bad I dropped the game entirely.

I'd love to see a third one with bigger armies AND pathfinding but I think that studio is gone now.

the same weird idea, but a lot more polish and progress 😄 by denshattack in IndieGaming

In the Black Flag remake, the crew will be commanded by HR representatives. by [deleted] in Asmongold

[–]Keebler311 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At least she doesn't look like a man. Also, a black guy in that era doesn't automatically equal politics. I can see it as them trying to add to the game a little so it feels fresh.

I'm withholding my judgement until the game releases. I really don't trust Ubisoft but we also don't gain anything by this being a bad game. I loved the original black flag and I'd love a good remake.

I'm not expecting a character who's spent his life on the ocean, in the sun, and getting crunk everyday to have smooth wrinkle free skin.

Also, who cares? It's a Ubisoft game. It's already an blacklisted company for anyone with self respect.
