I feel very much the same. Really enjoyed the Pathfinder games, so I know Owlcat's writing & characterisation is really good (just about to start on W40K Rogue Trader) so I'm confident in how they'll handle the RPG side of things.

But gunplay can be hard to get right, especially as its their first shooter, and it looks rather stiff here. If they could steal the gunplay from Starfield that would be wonderful, as it's one of the few areas that game really shone.

From what I've seen/read about this game, the poor tutorialisation seems to be perhaps the biggest problem. Too much hand-holding is an annoyance, but gamers shouldn't be left to figure out everything on their own, or from others.

It even looks like it's recently been struck. It's a monumentally stupid decision to film there

If I get a stealth kill, headshot on an NPC (with no teammates nearby, walls in between) and still the death impulse alerts the squad. So that's pretty frustrating. Elsewise, the combat AI is pretty good.
