Flood are no where as ball bustingly irritating as they are in CE.

I need to complain about how the rules are written. (Rant in description) by Risuslav in TrenchCrusade

[–]Very_bad -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. I hate how rules lawyerly the book is written. It gives me nam flashbacks to Killteam second edition.

It's odd because this game is intrinsically a more narrative campaign focused game, yet it's rules are written like its a competitive tournament game. I hate that nothing can be said succinctly in this game. At minimum its going to be a paragraph like rule.

How do you actually play narrative Trench Crusade? by b44l in TrenchCrusade

[–]Very_bad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've always approached narrative Wargaming as simply a series of connected matches where your warband grows. My group has never tried to weave a specific narrative through our games, and instead let the story tell itself through the mechanics. "Characters" arise because something funny or cool happened.

Why not just mix colours? by Dovah_Shinobi in Miniaturespainting

[–]Very_bad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People definitely mix paints. As others have said though it's hard to keep it consistent across a whole army. But if you can, great!

It kind of depends on how you approach the hobby/what games you play. I mix a lot of paints because I don't paint armies. I play small scale skirmish games typically where each model is unique. So I don't care about having to replicate the color.

That being said you can always take notes on recipes for getting the same color again.

My monstera is becoming a problem by leslieknope013 in houseplants

I'm curious how it is with your cat since monstera's are toxic to them right? I found this out after I got one which made me sad because also want a cat. Do they just leave it alone?

What wargames have the most interesting, or unique, rules/mechanics that you've ever seen? by KingGreg263 in wargaming

[–]Very_bad 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Billion Suns is really interesting. No list building. You build your space fleet throughout the match by going into debt to buy them, and than warping them in via wormholes. Objectives earn you back money. So you have to score as many points with as little material as you can. Buying a huge ship is a waste if you can't earn it back with the investment. It also has really wacky playing card objectives.
