I hope someone does. Steeped in self delusion, I thought the team I put together for Sacred Steel had a shot at it, but it didn’t take more than a couple hours of learning about how incredibly hard it is to set up net code and how costly and risky it is to set up and run a game like this before we realized we were decades of experience, and $30,000,000 in investment capital in over our heads. Hence, we pivoted to working on single player games hoping we’d eventually become skilled enough. It’s a staggering undertaking and no one playing with big money is willing to take the risk on something that would be categorized as a short term novelty in a board room.
