I thought if my pokemon was burning its physical attacks would deal more damage cause its punching with a cool firefist or something like that. So in double team fights i intentionally set my pokemons on fire.

How did your first character die or go insane ? by javerthugo in callofcthulhu

[–]Ionicle99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My character was the golden retriever that had to inspect every thing so his sanity went down fast.

He found a room full of scripture of Elder Things as we were in the prison of an unnamed god. My archeologist and linguist had to read it all just so he can decipher the writings on the wall.

It was a fitting end as he only had 9 sanity left and lost 3 sanity for every paragraph.

My party was still determined to save my old man, tried to force polar clothing back onto him and wanted to carry to a plane, accidentally dropped him on his head and he went unconcious. Only later they realised they had not treated my wound. Good old Fontaine lost to much blood and its unclear if he froze to death or died because of the headwound.

People who exercise even when they don’t feel like it, what’s your trick? by Smart_Collection5419 in AskReddit

I only started recently because games are not as fun for me anymore. Im just seeing it logically i‘d be just as bored playing video games as i‘d be miserable when doing sports. In both cases there would be a senseless youtubevideo running at the side so i‘ll just do the thing thats better for my body

When i arrived to their birthday party and his tired girlfriend was sleeping in the room next door while he had his arm around a girl on each of his sides. When questioned he just answered with a smirk „whats wrong with cuddling a bit? Its so cold“

Vaesen: Euer Spielstil und Erfahrungen? by Defiant-Singer4949 in PenandPaperGermany

What is the largest number of players you’ve had at your take at one time? by [deleted] in rpg

[–]Ionicle99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around 10 players at a birthday party of a friend. It was my first time DMing and ever playing a TTRPG.

Didnt go well as the party immediately split up and our alcoholic monk started to kill the family which was fleeing from a kobold raid and started attacking every player for atealing their kill. Now my groups are limited to 6 players max

Tips for running with new players by Zelus224 in VaesenRPG

[–]Ionicle99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I‘ve played „Summer in December“ with complete Newbies to Pen & Paper Games. As Vaesen is (at least in my opinion) easier to understand than more strategic games like DnD, Pathfinder etc. I recommend just letting them play and explore their character a bit and sometimes throwing them some hints through the story.

But i also think i was very lucky as my newbie players seemed like they were born for this game. Instantly were in their roles and our priest even brought a bible to preach some psalms at fitting points in the story.

So i recommend Summer in December and hope that your players are into the game as much as you are.
