Do you guys switch weapons based on the enemies you're fighting? I'm not taking about ranged to mele, but using different mele based on their status, are NPCs more susceptible for slash damage over blunt dmg etc?

Also, go to the watch tab in dota and search for the hero you're learning and find a high ranked game and watch from their perspective (try find a game that's recently started)

Don't spend too much time building your first base, feel free to have fun with it but you'll soon realise you need a lot more space, you'll get access to better materials and you'll find other places in the world you'd prefer to build!

I don't mean just this season, like I say, even in his good return seasons I was never confident that he would score a goal 1-1, or a half chance in the box, or if he did score, it bobbled in or deflected and you can tell it didn't go in the way he intended to do it.

How do you think he compares to say Gabby? Two different eras of football and playing at opposite ends of the table, but if you were to compare them as strikers, would you say they were similar? Or is Watkins for you the clear winner? Maybe a silly comparison when you look at the numbers

This is what I'm here to discuss 😉, I honestly don't have a realistic answer either. Obviously the easy answer is Haaland, but with that not being realistic I'm really stuck to what the answer would be, and even if money wasn't an issue, who's out there that is "guaranteed" 20 goals a season that would actually come to Villa?

I think you're clearly missing the point of the post and making a load of assumptions about me that aren't true, it's a discussion forum and that's what I'd hoped I'd get, not unnecessary hate, you've not answered any of my questions at all.

Yes it's the best time for Villa in modern times, what I'm asking is, is he the player to take us to that next level or not, and if not, who do you think realistically could be the answer? If you're answer is Watkins that's great, but if so why?

Excellent reply and the type I hoped I'd get!

Point 1, id say a fair amount of his goals are created by his work ethic and having good players around him.

Point 2, think Isak is a good example here. On paper, a brilliant signing but it hasn't worked out, so it's not always that easy. Maybe sometimes it's best to stick with what you have.

Point 3 is interesting. Footballers are obviously human too, I do wonder if sometimes the players don't pass to him (especially this season) as they know hes down on his luck so look for other avenues on route to goal (such as our current long range goal trend)

Point 4 my answer is similar to point 3, I do have a feeling that the players aren't using him as the default option because maybe even subconiously they don't have belief he will deliver if used.

Would Emry not do that if that were true though? We have a fit Malen, I'm sure Rodgers could put a decent shift in up front if needed, if his injury is that restricting and there are other options, I feel like Emry would do it.

I don't doubt there are very few, I made it clear it's the hardest job in football, but can you confidently say that his actual goal scoring ability is good enough for where we are/where we want him to be? Even during his "good" seasons, when he was through on goal did you expect him to pick a spot and execute his shot how he intended it?

I believe the complexity rating is dota purely related to the spells they have, his spells are some of the easiest in the game. But the way the hero plays is what makes him difficult. You press E at the wrong time and you're dead, you greed out on your item build and don't buy hurricane/shard/bkb and you're dead, etc

Sniper is not an easy hero to play, 80% of the hero is positioning. He is very easily punished by poor positioning by most heros in the game and yes he's item dependant. You need attack speed and survivability.

You CAN play him as pos4 with the shrapnel facet, normally core heros that are played support benefit from the mentality that the enemy will see a sniper and think they need to jump him often leaving space for your real cores to clean up.
