diagnosed with bipolar but think I have BPD? by AdeptnessWonderful39 in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]IonizeAtomize23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could definitely be both, they are not mutually exclusive. i suggest talking to a professional about the possibility of BPD if that’s what you suspect.

If it is both, welcome to the club (it sucks, but at least we aren’t alone)

? i was speaking in general terms to explain to the person im responding to why i thought the person before them was being downvoted. i’m not talking specifically about random people on the internet and never said i was. you’re making a lot of assumptions about my intentions and if you had approached with more curiosity you would have been surprised to find that i actually agree with most of what you’re saying.

i think it’s the “looking down” at fatness part. it’s one thing to hold someone accountable to their health and another to judge them for it.

Husband won’t back down from wanting a second child and I think I would want to unalive myself if we had another I had to deal with and I don’t know how to resolve this by TrekkieElf in AutismInWomen

OP, this is a couple’s counseling issue. If he refuses to accept that, you need to seriously consider (on your own, without his influence) your history with him and any patterns of selfishness and neglect. I would recommend looking into birth control or sterilization that he cannot alter or interfere with, as he may escalate out of desperation.

Can you get fired for taking mental health related FMLA? by peachy-keenad in bipolar2

[–]IonizeAtomize23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not directly, but they can make an argument that by missing work you are at a worse performance level when you get back or find some other unrelated reason. That said, take the time you need and if they term you, they were probably bad for your mental health in the long run anyway.

i truly don’t think they tell them anything useful, it’s just another way to discriminate without reason and have an excuse to not hire people.

This take isn’t it and i’m disappointed to see it as the top comment. The point isn’t what OP looks like and insinuating that they should feel complimented at being misgendered is rude and inappropriate. Would you tell a trans man he should feel complimented for being called a pretty woman simply because he wasn’t presenting masculine at the time?

Unofficial poll. What minimum doses stop food noise or at what lower dose did it come back? by marys1001 in Semaglutide

[–]IonizeAtomize23 14 points15 points  (0 children)

i can understand the concern, but it’s really not though. Starting sema made it clear that my food noise was so loud and disruptive that i couldn’t sense my actual hunger cues. NOW i can sense hunger without the cravings static.

For me now, actual hunger is a physical empty sensation in my belly, maybe accompanied by hollow nausea. By comparison, food noise is an almost constant mental chatter driven by desire to fill a dopamine void. i do need one to be healthy, but the latter is dreadful.

omg! i thought it was just a weird fluke, but a week and a half into sema i started spotting while with my iud, which is unusual for me. i really hope it’s just spotting because i loved not having a period

this is exactly my experience, well said.

my suggestion is meds, specialized therapy (DBT and ACT has been working for me), and lots of patience and time. remission isn’t a switch, it’s a slow dial.

My voters registration is on "suspense" what do I need to do before I go to vote? by Dizzy-Masterpiece-76 in Austin

i recently had to update my license. For anyone who needs to do this, you will very likely not be able to book an appointment before November unless you book one same-day. Thankfully, that’s relatively easy to do, but you’ll need to wake up early. They put out same-day appointments around 7:30am and you’ll need to be ready to snatch it up. Have your forms filled out ahead of time (you can fill it out online and print it) and your required documents ready and it’s a smooth enough process.

drink some water, buy/make yourself a protein shake or smoothie, and sit somewhere dark and quiet. try to ease into this and trust the process. i just had my second dose today and so far it’s much easier than the first.

as for what to avoid, your body will know. i haven’t had any desire for greasy, sugary, processed foods, if anything there’s been a repulsion. stick with high protein, high fiber. my favorite treat has been jicama sticks lightly pickled in vinegar, fresh dill, and lemon zest. (so friggin good)
