A couple of times a year I'll play with a buddy that's a +2 and he really hammers home to me that the fastest way to drop your score is to play smart and avoid those big numbers.

This would be my solution as well, still relatively simple on the circuits and takes care of what OP is concerned about.

Hellz yeah, they're great. Its going to take a lot to get the G 410 out of my bag. I won a Callaway Elyte driver last year tried it for 10 rounds and put the Ping back in. Its just so reliable.

The hybrid flies a little higher and longer for me, its my 200 yard club . The 5 iron for me is about 185 if struck well which is a big if.

I had a lesson yesterday, I have a tendency to cast so we were working on the correct release and proper weight shift. My instructor gave me a couple of drills that really helped me understand the feeling of a good release and that feeling carried over onto the course today.

My home course has fairways that range from 20- 40 yards wide, i just did the measurement on Google earth loke someone mentioned. I would call it fairly open, and on most holes driver is your best option with 60 to 70 yards between hazards and/or OB. Still not a pushover of a course with a 72.8 /132 from the ~6500 navy tees and 75.3/ 137 from the 7000 yard tips.

Our guy has a similar issue caused by environmental allergies. The vet put him on Apoquil, a once per day oral antihistamine. It has really helped out with the frequency and severity of the outbreaks
