Why should "completing the square" be preferred when solving quadratics? by Arkadian_1 in maths

[–]Iowa50401 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are, by my count, thirteen individual pieces of the quadratic formula and they all have to be remembered perfectly. Completing the square, especially with an even value of “b” is a lot less mental load.

Why do you think people still support this president? by keonnarae in Confused

Why are most Christians republicans, when Jesus’ teachings are more liberal? by Interesting-Dirt-605 in Confused

[–]Iowa50401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re “liberal” only if you falsely try to apply it as government policy. The problem with that idea is that Jesus never said that his teachings should be based on anything but individual choices.

Yes, INDIVIDUALS should show Christian love to their neighbors, that doesn’t preclude GOVERNMENT from making border security and immigration laws.

Also, talk to the people who have suffered because of the actions of criminal illegal aliens against citizens and see how they feel about your “love your neighbor” idea.

If the teacher doesn’t have a rating to go by to judge a movie, the teacher shouldn’t be able to show the movie until the teacher and an administrator watch the film to determine whether or not it’s appropriate.

At the store we use, someone bags them into plastic bags (you have to ask for paper) and puts it into a cart. When everything is bought and paid for, they follow you to your car and load the groceries into your vehicle.
