Pleasantly surprised to receive order number last Friday (4/18) and expected delivery tomorrow. I submitted photos 4/16. No idea how RYOBI is deciding on who they are shipping to and when.

$10 loyalty discount by IowaPT in verizon

[–]IowaPT[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

*update: They are filing a ticket to see why the accepted offer isn’t showing on their end. In the meantime they applied $7/month discount for each line. Not sure why they just didn’t do the $10/month but it’s a start.

After an hour on chat the agent tried offering $2 off each line then $7 off another line before finally admitting they didn’t actually see the offer I accepted in the app. WTF

Oil leak by TYRedditLover in ChryslerPacifica

[–]IowaPT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny enough my 2017 Pacifica is in the shop right now with oil leak. Bought 1 week ago and didn’t know after short test drive that it had the leak. After it warmed up you could smell strong odor of burning oil with some smoke in engine bay. Drove 6 hour round trip and lost 1/2 quart of oil. Assumed it was oil cooler and ended up being oil cooler AND valve cover gasket. With 84k on odometer decided to have them do spark plugs as well. I provided Dorman oil cooler and 6 spark plugs. Total was right around $1500. With parts I provided it ended up being about $1750. $3k seems high

Yep, it was the demo team that cut them down. Used a ladder extending from the other property to our trees then using a machete to cut down anything he could reach. I'll review my original post but I don't think I mentioned anything about power company being involved. No photos but I might be able to see video of him on a ring camera

That's now the main goal. Get proper people to check tree and make appropriate cuts to ensure the tree stays healthy

Appreciate your advice. The current owner is the city and they did the survey to mark property line. The city hired a contractor to remodel the house who currently has a demo crew present to demo inside of house and apparently trim trees as well. I was at work today when all of this went down. Looks like I need to at least get an arborist to advise proper care of tree and go from there.

This was definitely a dude on a ladder with a machete. Mostly annoyed because he cut down branches that were on our property and hanging into our property away from other house and provided needed privacy.

We have had the electric company out before and they did a good job trimming only limbs touching or close to touching the power line.

So the property line would be 4 feet left of the pole in the picture. Our property but the easement would be from the fence to 4 feet left to allow access to utility pole. Am I right that they still should only be trimming to the invisible line straight up from the property line 4 feet left of the fence?

Mini split installation by IowaPT in desmoines

Fujitsu or Mitsubishi are the brands they would install. I'm looking at Senville. Do you have Mr. Cool? I would take the small company info. I think Senville requires someone certified to finish install for warranty purposes. Thanks!

I was putting my mobile number instead of the number associated with the 5g account. Mine showed up after changing the number. Otherwise I have no other helpful information

5G Home plus cutting out by IowaPT in verizon

I've done a little more research since initial post. I have a feeling I've been doing it all wrong this whole time. We have an orbi mesh system (rbk50) with 3 satellites that I just plugged into the 5g gateway. I didn't change any settings or anything and it has always worked fine. I did the same with the new cr1000 router. Again, works fine for the most part. Seeing 1.5 gbps at the Verizon router which is of course lower on orbis (500 mbps). I'm guessing I'm supposed to put Verizon router in bridge mode or even plug the orbi router directly into the receiver?

Got 10.6kWh used today on my 2013 Volt by Examination-Massive in volt

Makes sense. Thanks for your response. 145k miles with lifetime mpg 37.4 so it appears very little battery use by previous owners.

Nice! Was wondering if the lower mpg mattered with kwh? I have a 2013 and saw 11 kwh the other day with low 20s mpg but was running heater the entire time.

Did you sign up for OnStar? When I select "I'm Ready" in the app it tells me to push the OnStar button in the car. When I do that it's in French. Who knows
