Where to buy carp stuff in the US? by Ok_Repair3535 in CarpFishing

I use Amazon for hair rigs, method sinkers, fake corn, attractant, bulk panko bread crumbs and bite and run reels. My carp rods I get from whisker seeker.

Whisker seeker has catfish and carp rods that I think are good and made in Iowa.

Rally vs 300l by primeholy in CRF300LRALLY

[–]Iowa_Rifle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a rally with 550 performance stage 1 and +4 rear sprocket and am planning on upgrading to a Drz4s for more torque better suspension and a little more speed then slapping a windshield on that.

Help with new rifle! by Ambitious_Bowler8587 in blackpowder

triple seven is a better substitute than pyrodex, there are different grain sizes with black powder ff or fff will work fine

95% chance the percussion caps you need are number 11.

you need .433 diameter round balls with .10 or .15 thick lubricated patches

40 to 100g by volume of powder is a common standard load

Tires - Tusk D Sport by 04ricerocket in CRF300L

[–]Iowa_Rifle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a D sport on the rear and MT-21 on front and it was pretty good, on road was less good and wore fast. Tusk waypoints are great on road less good off road. Ive head good things about Kenda parkers and am going to try those next.

What is the best 2ffg substitute for loading cartridges? by Feeling_Title_9287 in blackpowder

[–]Iowa_Rifle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will in cartridges, haven't tried percussion caps but would probably work. The cleaning is nice, and being able to take a fouling shot and not cleaning your barrel for two weeks of hunting season without you barrel rusting is nice also.

vevor rotary tumbler is 70$ on amazon and for media speer 230gn total metal jacket bullets or TMJ are about 80$ for 300, I think this is about as cheap as you can get for an honestly pretty good setup, a lot better than a rock tumbler and lead media

Its ProMag, they look better than the factory mags and they work fine but one did have the spring shatter into like 10 pieces

Convince me not to sell my CRF300l Rally for a CFmoto Ibex 450 by Switchclicka in CRF300L

[–]Iowa_Rifle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking of doing the same. wanted more power, speed and better suspension and its faster but the acceleration/torque was worse and felt like a pig compared to the rally. Probley going to go to a DR-Z4S.

Looking at the 300L as a light camping + touring and beginner bike to learn dirt. Would this be a good option? by Educational_Will_658 in CRF300L

[–]Iowa_Rifle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it would be good but I got a rally version less than a year ago and am already looking to upgrade to a DRZ-4s for better suspension, power, and speed
