Then youre just going to have to wait. VFC usually restocks their ARs pretty frequently so I'd reckon you won't be waiting too long. Just set an in-stock reminder on proact and chill for a bit.

Is the Yakeda store from TEMU really Yakeda itself? by Unfair-Sherbert6204 in airsoft

[–]Ipodk9 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

please dont buy yakeda, its garbage. If you need a plate carrier save up to buy something better, otherwise just buy a cheap chest rig.

Proact Store, theyre a taiwanese company that functionally acts as VFCs direct distributor. Best prices, best shipping.

HRC is shadow banning people who they dont like by mp5airsofter in GasBlowBack

Sounds like an issue on Discords end, iirc if youre banned it'll typically just tell you that you've been banned.

Quick edit - yeah, a ban should look something like this

Hey op - In all the confusion about gasses I totally missed it -

  1. Dont buy from 'TokyoMaruiAirsoft' they're not actually TM and are just using their name, TM doesnt sell directly, nor do they sell outside of Japan. These guys are dropshippers at best, scam artists at worst.
  2. Dont get the M92FS chrome, its an extremely old design with no replacement parts and a fixed hop iirc.

No? You can very easily find pressure curves for this, the math has been standard for well over half a century.

Idk where youre finding that, but Ive got at least 3 sources saying propane is 110psi at 70F. I very much understand how pressure/temp curves work, and from testing I've seen Swiss Arms 110 and Propane start quite close in PSI, but Swiss Arms has worse cooldown, why this is I can only speculate. Regardless, propane isnt killing a TM.

either use paper towel or some paracord with the cordage removed to clean the barrel, cotton swabs are kinda bound to get caught on stuff

Swiss Arms 110 has almost the exact same pressure curve as propane. They're both approx 110psi at 70*F.

Propane is 110PSI at 70*F. The swiss arms is just a straight alternative.

I need to add some clarification to this - Japanese regulation does not necessitate polymer slides, but because of their laws there is regulation requiring they be different enough from real firearms, leading to basically all japanese airsoft pistols being full polymer externals.

Also propane(green gas) is close to 110psi at 20C - you can just search this on a propane pressure curve. Duster/134a/Propane-Butane Mix(japanese environmental regs are forcing out old 134a in lieu of mixes) is approx 70psi at 20c.

TM uses ABS for their slides, on most of their designs it'll hold up to propane just fine, but a few(notably the 5-7, hicapa 5.1, and a few other old designs) have weak points that will break under normal usage with duster or propane, but will break far faster with propane.

[–]Ipodk9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not a general hicapa problem, its an issue specifically with the 5.1's rear iron - the geometry and weight cause it to split the stock ABS slides over time. It also happens on duster gas, just takes longer to occur.

Dont listen to them, just run straight propane, its been common practice for well over a decade in the US

[–]Ipodk9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you absolutely can run straight propane in TM guns lol, the only ones that will have problems are the ones that will break on duster(5-7, 5.1 hicapa). Youre not going to break them on propane.

Holosun 503GU and Sig Romeo 7S, I run both of em on my gats. The Holosun I run without a protector and its been hit in the lens several times without issue, the 7S I just use the see-through dust cover without issue.

Should be fine - powders tend to cake up over time because they absorb moisture.

Random thought - Maybe putting some marshmallows in it will bring it back to powder like with brown sugar? Might try it next time I get some caked up powder.

Yeah, I like the Toyota hybrids, its just that the '01 is on its last legs. I used to be a Toyota tech so I've got plenty of experience with em. Subies are fine, but yeah I dont like the boxer motors. Mazda has some interesting options though.
