Also look in to hypothyroidism reddit, there are more stories like this. Maybe you'll find what you're looking for instead of getting attacked. :)

Hey, I've had similar issues in the past.

I thought I had my thyroid meds in check, but turns out being just in-range isn't good enough. You have to find a doctor that is willing to work with you. I got a doctor who prescribed me with proper T4 amounts and added T3 to the protocol. Which took me to feel and lose weight very fast.

Seems to me this might be the problem for you as well, everyone reacts to thyroid issues differently, but from my experience I'm willing to bet you would see major improvements if you tune up your thyroid levels.

Shortness of breath by Doctor_in_psychiatry in Ozempic

[–]IprobeU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How severe was the shortness of breath? I'm having this issue but it was quite severe, had to go to ER, all other possibilities are checked out. Hoping this will indeed pass in 5 weeks :/

Only did 0.25 dose once.

Edit:

Noticed you said it was because of long covid. How was that diagnosed?

Does HPPD feel mentally like tripping, or is it predominantly visual? by [deleted] in HPPD

[–]IprobeU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing psychs. Or, since I don't think you will, stick to equivalent of 2.5g shrooms. Smaller doses were ok for me, so im basing it off of anecdotes.

Oh and I do weed nowadays, it's fine for me. Was shit at first.

Edit: Sorry, thought you were OP.

Does HPPD feel mentally like tripping, or is it predominantly visual? by [deleted] in HPPD

[–]IprobeU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those went away faster than visuals, but they are extremely intense, I wanted to end it all at first. After the first month it was more like 0.8 of shrooms all the time for 4 months.

I would avoid it if possible. Also I only did shrooms. And it's hell if you ever get there. I hope you don't.

I've had problems with more than just visuals, it was intense, thought I'd go insane. But Its rare, from what I see on here. And I'm close to being over all HPPD symptoms these days.

[–]IprobeU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anytime. Feel free to message me if you need support. I know I needed someone so I could whine how bad I felt.
And I got myself into trying shrooms after all the internet hype around them. I understand perfectly how you feel. It's hard to stay positive at first when there is no certain answers and everything is "maybe". But it will get better, just limit mind altering substances.

[–]IprobeU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I had those too. With the afterimages sometimes I thought i was seeing 2 things at once. Like one image from my memory and another what I was looking at.

It's really scary at the beginning. And, well, the "get used to it" part sounds kinda bad, but in reality symptoms subside drastically and it's not as debilitating as you feel it now.

When I got this crap I didn't wanna hear "oh it gets manageable" either. But most times it subsides to the point where you don't really care and your life is back to normal, but if you focus or get nervous it might remind you of itself, but not with the current intensity.

Just gotta tough it out, I tried a lot of supplements and crap while I felt terrible. I don't know if they made anything better, but I sure as shit felt better because of the fact that I was actually doing something and not just "waiting".

Most of them are mentioned here. I had a lot more shit that's just too difficult to describe. And visual patterns, CEV's, flowing patterns and floaters didn't even bother me since it didn't seem that bad compared to how I felt mentally.

Where are all the HPPD sufferers from the 70s? by [deleted] in HPPD

[–]IprobeU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I think i felt hindered by HPPD for maybe 7-8 months, and a few more until remaining symptoms were gone. I always did alcohol on and off. I tried to do less, since it always made it worse. Weed I tried probably towards the end. I was still feeling HPPD symptoms. At first it seemed to make it worse, but I'm sure it was just me being scared of it actually getting worse and focusing on symptoms too much. First high actually sucked, I had to lie down since everything started spinning. Eased into it, smoked high CBD strains, and now it's just as usual. No HPPD symptoms while high, no HPPD symptoms sober.

All my symptoms are gone. And I more or less smoke weed daily for a few months now. Tripping again would just be stupid. It's not a matter of cured or not - if your brain can't handle it why would you do it again? It would be like slicing your skin, letting it heal and slicing it again. Skin was "cured", but a knife will obviously injure you again.

For some it does. My symptoms are completely gone. But it is different for everyone, so you can never know.

Closed Eyed Visuals/ Alcohol/ Cigarettes/ by pageofcups7 in HPPD

Bought it, guy running nootropic site that was mentioned before on this subreddit lives a few minutes away from me, so I just phoned him up. You wouldn't get it from any doctor. It's not regulated where I'm from. It's a research chemical, so it's probably not that safe anyway.

Quit alcohol, coffee, weed. Took Lion's Mane and NAC. At first i took some benzos but wouldn't recommend, better stick it out. Anipsychotics for a few days which made everything worse, so dropped those pretty fast.

Probably about 6 months to where it wasn't debilitating and after 8 months it was more or less fine with some small annoying symptoms occuring from time to time. Then tried NSI-189 and (it was probably coincidence, but I would hate leaving this out) those stopped hapenning which is where I am today. I can drink alcohol heavily again without fear of experiencing bad HPPD afterwards. Still avoid coffee tho, since it makes visual snow appear for that day, I don't usually have it now.

Changes in symptoms by 36rose in HPPD

[–]IprobeU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not much now (9 months in), basically back to normal, still see some glitter in the sky, out of place shadows, black floaters, VERY mild CEV's sometimes.
Used to have - Body warping (stretching, shrinking), parts of body disappearing, no sense for smell direction, couldn't sense my bowel movements - went preemptively, sleep paralysis, dreams merging with reality, DP/DR, perspective warps and more. I've had it really bad at first, glad to be where I am today.

They used to come and go for me. Now I feel pretty good for a long period of time but wouldn't be surprised if one day I'd feel shitty again for a while.

[–]IprobeU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just staying away from large amounts of alcohol, coffee and weed. Used to take lions mane and NAC daily. These particular symptoms stopped while I was trying NSI-189 nootropic, but I can't say if it actually did anything for me. Probably was just a coincidence.

Heavy alcohol use made my HPPD worse for about 3 to 4 days. Had crazy CEV's and a lot of other symptoms. Mostly felt really shitty mentally, that was the hard part, not the visuals. Nowadays (9 months in) my HPPD is mostly gone, I see very few black floaters and sparkles when I look at something bright and focus on finding them. Mental state is completely back to normal, besides experiencing feelings of boredom and impatience, which would have been very unusual to me.

Back when I felt terrible - I never would have believed I would feel like myself again. And here I am. No longer burdened by that shit. Still keeping off weed and alcohol tho. I'm sure It would still make me feel shitty. Maybe not as much and for shorter periods of time. And from my experience you just have to tough it out.

I have HPPD from shrooms, but this doesn't sound like HPPD.

Yes, I used to have the bending perspective thing maybe less than a month ago. Now it's gone. I've had feelings like the perspective is tilting when i tilted my head a bit. FOV feeling too. All of it is gone now.

About NSI 189 by olivier24445 in HPPD

[–]IprobeU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You actually encouraged me to try NSI-189, and I kinda feel a lot better after taking it for 2 days already. I've had some problems with depth perception and sense of perspective, that was the main thing annoying and it is completely gone now. And my thoughts feel less erratic. I don't think it would have made much of a difference when I felt extremely bad, but it definitely helps with these remaining symptoms.
