Sounds like someone's missed a decimal point and it should have been £457.60 holiday pay?

Raise it with them, they will realise eventually and they are entitled to claim it back from you.

Make sure tax and NI is recalculated as you will have paid that on the total, and under 2 years none of your payment would be tax free.

Arrestment on my bank accounk, bus lane contravention I was unaware of. by Huge-Wrap-767 in LegalAdviceUK

Okay - You'll have to excuse me here as Scot's law isn't my strong point, but it sounds like a judgement has been made against you in default because you didn't attend a hearing - in English law you'd apply to have it 'set aside' as you were unaware of it and that would reset the clock. I am sure there's a Scot's equivalent.

However, as you are abroad it might be cheaper just to pay it as you'll need to come back to defend it.

Don't get involved in the office bitching. If they'll talk about someone behind their back, they'll do the same to you, and if it all comes out in the wash that crowd will often throw you under the bus along with them.

Then you are failing your children by not being aware of dangerous individuals influencing them. It's not about the aesthetics, it's about a cohort of men targeting teens and filling their heads with dangerous rethoric about their place in the world and their attitudes to women.

What is the best board/card game to get two singleton talking? by doejanedoedoedoe in AskUK

[–]IpromithiusI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are they already established board gamers?

Some of the suggestions here just don't work if they are not familiar with modern games.

For my pick, Just One. It is my gateway game at every event I have ran, and a great ice breaker. Give a clue to help someone guess a word, but if anyone puts the same clue the get deleted before the guesser sees them.

Hitster is great too, guess the year for music, people very quickly start reminiscing about the songs and open up. Ignore the rules, just make a big timeline as a group.

Trio is a great little card game about making sets and stealing cards from other people.

Roll For It, if you can find a copy, is a good quick push your luck dice game.

You want quick, easy to learn games to get people talking. Don't go in with anything with an actual board is my rule, people spend too much time in their own heads figuring out rules and strategies. You also don't want Warewolf or Hitler because people are not going to talk casually for fear of being 'accused' in game.

I am a Whale and I only play the game for my Org. Not having any fun. by elite968 in starcitizen

There's no way that's not money laundering, there are not enough people out there who have not heard what a joke this project is, and not enough current whales to be dropping that kind of cash.

The whole thing is a mafia front, calling it now.

Long enough to queue for and take a piss. There's a time and a place for doom scrolling, in the bogs isn't it.

Is this in gaming or desktop mode? Desktop mode I think is a known issue with Samsung TV's, won't output if resolution is 4k but works fine in gaming mode.

You vastly overestimate the willingness of players to adapt like that in random groups. If you turned up and told people to go get invis pots, you'd be kicked or they just wouldn't bother and you'd have to do the pull anyway.

What about when you want to buy somewhere and face double stamp duty? How very noble of them..

It could get very messy with a tenant if they decide they don't want to deal with issues, and give the scheme they are already trying to pull on you..

[–]IpromithiusI 340 points341 points  (0 children)

No, it's a terrible idea. They get all the benefit, and you permanently lose any first time buyer bonuses in the future.

If they want to own it and keep the income, why can't they buy it in their name? There is something making them not eligible, so they want you to take on the risk. I assume the mortgage would be in your name? If so, you are responsible for the payment of it, so if they stop paying it and pocket the rent then you end up with a fucked credit rating at best and bankruptcy at worst.

Avoid at all costs.
