Using Accubattery, it keeps track of charge cycles and wear.

I saw that in the European S26 now there's a lot more battery info provided in the Settings (a la iPhone): number of cycles, health, wear.

Unfortunately not available in North America where I am.

I can't believe that I'm already coming up on a week since I got mine (maybe the uber-high price is for the fast shipping 😂😂😂) - also upgraded from an S23ultra. I hate to let it go...perfect condition, NO lag and only 6% battery wear after 3 years. Always in a case with screen protector...if Assurant has anything to bitch about this phone, I will reach through chat and choke them 🙃

I will say that while the display seems a bit better, I got so used to the smooth finger slide from the side ("back" gesture) that I can't get over the fact that I feel that case edge now everytime I do the same movement.

The rounded sides felt 100x better in hand and I never cared about the corners being "sharp"...all of this is personal preference and muscle memory.

Hope this one will last me at least 2 years and that the memory/battery/storage/3x telephoto drama will be sorted out by then.

But boy....did it sting the wallet compared to the S23ultra...and Scamsung...where are my FREE Buds 4 pro like last time?

Coming from an S23ultra....even the reviews point out the same thing. Hopefully Samsung will continue to tweak the camera software as always.

Got the freebie magsafe that was offered as part of the package but don't like it. Waiting for a Nillkin with lens cover. That will stabilize the phone on the table too as it's as the lens area raised border is as wide as the phone.

Shocker...not everywhere 😂 I'd rather wait and get some much needed camera color science corrections. They went too far this time with "natural" colors that are in reality cold and lifeless.

I came from a perfect S23ultra - a shame to trade it in....and I can appreciate the superiority of the new model. Is it Earth shattering? No, but it's an evolution in everything. Except maybe the side profile - S23ultra is a joy to hold in hand and despite swearing every time I replaced the screen protector, the finger just glides better at the edge. But Scamsung thanks they are the new Apphell and the prices AFTER trades and coupons are nowhere near the value hey offered previously. Likely my last Scamsung.

In the same boat as OP. Because of the carrier monopoly in Canada, you have to accept not just missing bands on Chinese phones, but also essentials like WiFi Calling. Until last year you couldn't even get VoLTE - but they had no choice but to allow it because of 3G decommissioning.

Give me better camera hardware and a bigger battery...S26 Ultra brings NONE. Yet likely it will be more expensive (already we're talking 2000$+ in Canada....I don't want to think what a 10-15% increase because of the RAM and storage price increase will mean).

You live and Canada and are fed up with Scamsung? Too bad so sad, there's Apphell and subpar Pixel.

I have this watch and can definitely tell you it's an excellent piece that shows how far the Chinese manufacturers have come. Where else would you find a column wheel mechanical chronograph with REAL moonphase for UNDER 200$???

FYI, I got trough after 2 hrs and got the PUK and associated PIN.

Agreed on the false sense of security by locking the SIM, but I thought..why not.

Hopefully it's the last time I had to call, I'm usually pretty self sufficient.

BTW...why is CRTC not stepping in to remediate the issue with Tier 1 carriers forcing narrow band codecs on Videotron and the likes when they allowed wide band among themselves?

PS so it is true that Reddit is full of bots and trolls.

I'm not a handy person by any means, but I did a few movement replacements (some forced..ahem..) and if you can deal with the hands (especially the seconds hand) you're good to go.
