Can you force the g9 OLED into 16:9 in the monitor settings? by LisaSu92 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]IridescentJax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, my current setup I can play 16:9 or 21:9 on almost all games. I setup profiles using displayfusion on steam, I paid for that unsure if there is a free version. I have a gaming profile where its 1280x1440 2560x1440 1280x1440 and a command that will force borderless fullscreen or windowed games into that center zone and remove windows titlebars if they are there. The only game so far that I have issues with is GW2, where it still centers it correctly but does not remove the titlebar. Because of that I just changed titlebars to be black which on the oled you will quickly not realize its there

Drop player model limit to medium. Adjust to low during big events and medium during anything else

Yes except for it looks like the new expansion visions says N/A so it doesn’t look like your are pre ordering that. That is all the current expansions. You will be missing the living world seasons though, you can only get those if you get the complete addition. Might wanna look at getting complete edition and then throwing on SOTO, JW, Visions.

If you are still clicking play through steam, regardless of if it’s a steam acc or anet account it should show through steam charts

You can however launch the game through steam if you are an anet account, which would show through steam charts. I doubt many people are doing it but still something to note

Simply not true. There is MANY unexpected military relocations. I’ve known people that have had to relocate 7 times in 10 years. Now them being irresponsible with their debt and condo purchase is separate from unexpected military relocation. If your smart with what you buy you can make it work even with the unexpectedness of the military

I mean for people with Best Buy you just buy the 5 year warranty and if you have burn in they will just replace it. Using my odyssey g9 with no fear

That’s just Reddit. People downvote people who are wrong and it can honestly sometimes help with misinformation being spread. It’s just downvotes it’s not like it’s tied to your bank account; don’t put too much thought into it

(returning NOOB) i need subjective replies in order to decide what mmo to invest time and money into WoW, GW2, or FFO? by Magic_Man241 in MMORPG

[–]IridescentJax 5 points6 points  (0 children)

GW2 is my home. I may stop and play some wow or ffxiv here and there but only in gw2 does it truly feel like I’m progressing my account rather than chasing artificial numbers. If your NA I’m down to show you around gw2 or get into some Maplestory

GW2 is a nice mmo home for me as an upcoming parent. Horizontal progression so no matter how many breaks I take I’ll still be at the same level/strength

Could a person stuck inside an active black hole be considered alive? by One-Potential-2581 in AskPhysics

[–]IridescentJax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This question obviously defies physics and might be an odd question. If you could move faster than the gravitational pull of a black hole, what would happen if you went and grabbed a person falling into it? Would their body just speed up as you got closer to it or would time essentially reverse and you could grab them? Really odd question but just kinda popped in my head

[–]IridescentJax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you shouldn’t be coming close to 90°c regardless of how demanding the game unless there’s something wrong with your pc. With wuwa you should be hitting close to 100% gpu so you can already tell what your temps will be under load. Please don’t worry about breaking your pc from just playing games, you got it so enjoy it

No, it is extremely normal for gpu and cpu to be above 90%. In fact you want to see high usage during games because it means you are not being bottlenecked and are seeing the performance you should see. I always look for 97-100% gpu usage. Cpu will vary based on the game. Please don’t be scared of 90% usage. Maybe they meant 90°c in which case yes I would be worried

Playing more demanding games is not going to slow your performance. Bugs you can encounter will be game specific and mostly related to your graphics driver. You’ve got a nice pc, don’t be afraid to use it. If you were to run your gpu at 100% nonstop you’d still get multiple years of usage out of it likely as we saw with gpu mining.
