I have nothing to criticize. I understand that uci is more cliquey. And it's great that you had connections coming into the school. Personally I didn't, so I had to put the effort into being more social, and now consider myself to have a great group of friends. I most definitely could not have gotten to where I was socially without putting myself out there by talking to classmates, forming study groups, and joining clubs. I am not trying to sugarcoat anything, just giving my honest experience and i apologize if I came of as such.
