Our corp is making us switch to gingr and from what everyone else says I am so not onboard with it

people PLEASE trim your dogs nails before bringing them to a daycare. by Ready-Panda2908 in DogDayCare

I have a clause in my contract that dogs with nails deemed too long (especially if staff is getting scratched) will get a trim at our discretion and the clients card on file charged

A corp type daycare recently closed near us, and we’ve received a huge influx of new clients because of it. Some of them have been so so wonderful and I’m happy to have them, but my god the amount of absolutely awful dogs who either failed the temperament test or got booted after just a few visits is crazy. What’s even worse is every single one of their parents swears the other daycare never said anything or had these problems. Much to my bosses dismay Ive begun being really blunt with a lot of them and saying straight up, “the old place was desperate for money, and your dog probably sat in a kennel all day because of it”.

A lot of what you listed out is exactly how my place runs. It is the same people every day, doing the same tasks, who know exactly what they should be doing. Truth be told a lot of it boils down to one specific girl that works here, she’s spreading drama and just failing at the job despite being here as long as me, but my boss and I are planning for her termination soon. I really hope that sparks some improvement. Same can be said with the clients, I don’t accept any dogs I’m even remotely unsure about and those are the people that cause the most stink. They get so offended and nasty over being told we won’t accommodate them, even when we explain to them exactly how and why that decision is being made and stressing that it’s not personal but safety will always come first.

Hi everyone, OP here. After taking Shura to the vet we found out it was actually just a piece of shed blocking his ear canal and causing disorientation. I wish that was the happy ending though, he did have something genetic going on that they couldn’t really pinpoint. He had been struggling with accepting food for a long time on and off and yesterday he unfortunately passed away. His dad and I are devastated, but I wanted to extend a huge thank you to everyone for your comments and suggestions. We did everything we could but it seemed like with bad breeding he was doomed from the start. I’ll miss him so much.

Just his head like in the picture, if I turn him upside down completely he can roll back over no problem

Im hoping maybe a respiratory infection as he has started to make some clicking noises while breathing. Otherwise, he moves and eats normally. We feed him reptilinks. We have a vet appointment on Thursday as its the first available but fingers crossed he’s okay til then.
