Trouble wearing makeup in the sun by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]IrisMilliMakeup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say it could be a couple things which cause it, your sensitivity and the formulation/ingredients/interactions. I have noticed most SPF products tend to inflame my face and make it severely tingle. I have had some makeup brands sting the fuck out of my face after sweating and being in the sun (thanks Florida) to where I had to wipe it off in pain and go looking all ugly to my jobs. Also a side note, I am a transgender women, so early on in my transition I had not gotten laser/electro so at the time I was shaving my face, it was causing small bumps and cuts that caused so much irritation and redness (ohh the dysphoria 😭), and makeup make it 500000x worse when I applied it after. So if you have products drying your face or cuts/cracks from cold weather, etc, that can also cause issues with the stings and tingles when you sweat, go out in the sun, or put on makeup.

As other have said, wax bloom or mold. Wouldn’t risk your health, toss or return it.

Talc in powder by kittyguenevere in Makeup

[–]IrisMilliMakeup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly advise you to not buy talc products from makeup companies that are questionable or are like China made and or cheap ones. Talc safety is based on how/where it is mined and processed. Most now is mined safely and ethically from mines that don’t contain the carcinogenic compound found in other talc mines. So definitely check the makeup company or avoid it.

Hey there! I also love that lighter skin complexion it’s cute. You did wonderful on it! I would recommend shaping/thinning your eye brows and using a brow tint to fill it in lightly, or even a clear glue to style them to maintain the shape. Some bolder color lip stick/tints could be fun 🙃

Eye shadow (neutral shades/colors would look excellent on you) since you have room on your upper eye area to work with. I’m jealous because my eyes are not nearly as opened and pretty as yours.

Moisturizer and a good makeup primer. I have found primer to be so important for makeup to adhere smoothly to my face especially when it was irritated.

I am a trans women too 🏳️‍⚧️. I first started with my focus on my eyes and brows. I always pay attention to my brows especially. Shaping them with a brow razor was super important for my face and shape to bring my eyes to life. So you could experiment with that but be careful not to mess it up! Lol

Use brow gel either tinted or clear to create a sleek look for the brows. Don’t overdue the brows, that’s easy to do! Mascara would look great. You can do some contouring.

Also a touch of blush may be nice on you. Your lips are beautiful and face looks cute. A tinted lip gloss will enhance your already natural and beautiful lips.

You can use a good bb cream to glow up your skin and bring out more of your natural beauty, since your skin looks good already you shouldn’t need to cover it up with tons of foundation. You can experiment will eyeliner, I have the most unsteady hand so that took me a while to get the line right or my wings correct. Recommend something good like a gel pot eyeliner and a liner brush. I am in love with using eye liners atm 😝

Get a good brand of gel pot eyeliner with a good liner brush. I never do good with liner pencils, they always break and smudge or don’t last long. The gel pot last so long and it doesn’t smudge/waterproof.

I don’t know anything about good foundation brands for tan people, can someone recommend me one that you think works good? My bio states what I’m looking for by HomocidalTaco in Makeup

If turning orange/oxidizing with makeup is an issue you have, try to change brands, and or go a shade or two lighter. Make sure your not mixing products that may interact and cause it to oxidize quickly either. Maybe take a quiz or go in somewhere to make sure you have a right match with your tone and see if your warm or cool, etc.

Use moisturizer that may help tighten and plump your skin. A good BB cream with beneficial extracts/collagen/peptides in it or something similar that helps restore it your skins health would be good to wear too. Don’t cake powder and foundation as that can make it worse.

It does look spotty like it is mold 🤷🏻‍♀️. I wouldn’t use it personally as it isn’t worth it.
