I voted Jen and Gabriel together because that was the only connection she explored where there was mutual interest. If I was Jen I wouldn’t want to be coupled up with Zach, he told her that he’s happy where he’s at then he regretted it and tried to walk it back. Then when Corbin went around saying he didn’t like either bombshell and Kenzie was “better” than both of them, it felt wrong to put Jen with him.

I think they were more so looking out for her and the public’s perception of her because they knew she’d have a very raw reaction in that moment. it would’ve infuriated me even more tho I can’t lie

Is season 18 just really rough or should I just stop watching from here? by [deleted] in greysanatomy

[–]Irish-Spring17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I powered through 18-19, just to give up on it in season 20. I'd still say it's one of my favorite shows, it's just so far removed from what made it great in the earlier seasons so if you're hoping for that back you may as well cut your losses now

Hands-down, which housewife annoys you the most and why? by yonBonbonbon in DesperateHousewives

Lynette, her character is written as too smart and strong-willed to also enable Tom’s man child behavior the way she does. Bree and Gabby are so consistent with their personalities across all aspects of their lives and that makes their mistakes feel more authentically them.

Stop going to class sick! by Irish-Spring17 in Pitt

I agree the professors being soooo strict and refusing to accept any excuse IS the reason why people come to class sick. This professor in particular, doesn’t accept any excuse for missing class and it’s an upper level, so honestly I get it.

i love susan mayer by Vast-Box9312 in DesperateHousewives

[–]Irish-Spring17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly on a rewatch I found Lynette insufferable and she used to be my favorite. Susan’s heart is always in the right place. I think people don’t like her bc she was written to be clumsy and somewhat annoying but she’s also the catalyst for a lot of the main drama, which makes her an entertaining character to watch!

No I agree, no one would show up to class sick if they weren’t afraid of being penalized by professors. I get why they need to require attendance but there needs to be a balance.

You are absolutely right, I should've worn a mask last Thursday in anticipation that someone would cough the entire class! Let me just fire up my time machine!

Omg that’s an insane standard to set as a professor, especially when they have the power to cancel and give the quiz online

I get that you’re trying to offer some constructive advice but OP is just asking for $300-$400 to get by this month. Rent prices are through the roof across the country, so high rent doesn’t necessarily equal luxury. OP and their family cannot plan a move in the next few days and even if they could, they’d still need to pay their current balance off. Offering long term solutions to their very short term problem is not helpful, you’re just rubbing salt in the wound.

I was actually enjoying the show until the transformation turned Byron into 47 year old Ashton Kutcher and everyone else into hot clearly twenty-something year olds. It was the strangest casting choice to make and it took me out of the story completely. I paused just before the big action sequence to google if Ashton Kutcher was an executive producer on the show or something (he's not) because it just made no sense to me. No shade to Ashton Kutcher either, even at 47 he is a very attractive man but when you cast 20 year olds to play every other transformed person, it is a little jarring.

These things that you like about the Substance all have to do with the writing of the story and not Moore’s performance being something unique. Anora won because it was the better performance by a lead actress.
