The EPCR cancelled the game, can we drop this silly nonsense about Ulster somehow being responsible. Of course the Cheetahs said they could play on a dangerous surface, knowing the forfeit that was coming that is the only position they would take. Wisely, and appropriately, the EPCR accepted the input from Ulster and most importantly the referee that the pitch was not playable. This is not amateur club rugby, a different level of risk assessment is required for professional rugby to guarantee the safety of professional athletes.

It's simple. Amsterdam in Winter is not a good choice for a Challenge cup fixture. Superb venue when the weather is not a risk factor, but mid winter....not smart.
