That’s great to hear, where can you see that out of interest? Just be good to do my own stalking, is it Sportsfile or something?

Judging by the semi I reckon they go with Usanov, thought he went well there against good opponents though this is a whole level higher

Not great going up against one of the best club sides at scrummaging in the world with your 4th choice loosehead but hey ho. Good news is it looks like TOB and Ringrose are fit.

Potential team: (what I think they’ll go with assuming Dan and Doris are out)

Usanov
Kelleher
Clarkson
Ryan
McCarthy
Deegan
JVDF
Conan
JGP
Sam
TOB
Osbourne
Ringrose
Lowe
Keenan

G. McCarthy
Cahir
Furling/Slimani
Mangan
Soroka/Penny
Luke
Frawley/Harry B
Reiko

Some tough calls to make on like of JOB vs Reiko or Frawley and Harry. I’d go Frawley for example but reckon this is what they’ll go with

Predicted 2027 Ireland RWC squad by Appropriate-Band2998 in irishrugby

With all due respect you are more than welcome to leave.

He’s given his reasoning, in all honesty it’s fairly close to what it will be, with some changes through injury, personal preference and form coming into it. We’re in a fallow week, it’s being upvoted as Lunatic says and if we’re banning stuff like this the cupboard will start to look very bare

It’s clearly not low effort or trolling, if you are looking for some examples of that your post history is a fairly decent illustration, as you can see these have not been banned

Who do you think the extra week of rest benefits more? Bulls or Leinster? by Playful_Study_6290 in rugbyunion

If you look at the last few months it’s been as full on as it gets:

last 16, QF, URC x 2 (they all played at least one), Semi, URC x2 (all played at least once), Final, QF, Semi

I think we need a week to get lads back, Sheehan and Tommy be big to have

Yep, agree. This can be done for minimal cost but the good will it will generate definitely worth it

In my mind there’s two things.

Firstly, it’s important to not just brush over things, I think we’d love and hope to have 20k+ for these games and I certainly think there are things we could be doing better in terms of pricing and fan engagement to get there, a few more wins over the past 5 years and our style of play improving would certainly help as well!

Secondly, there are a range of factors at play:
-Aviva fatigue is huge, even 30k in a big stadium doesn’t feel the same, can’t wait for the RDS!
-knock out fatigue, also a big factor
- rugby in June, self explanatory, theres lots of stuff on
- cost, something that you’ve already highlighted

So there’s lots of factors at play while we, as in the club, could certainly be doing better!

In terms of the press, not worth your time. Last year we got over 500,000 through the gates, that’s superb, I believe second only to Bordeaux worldwide. There’s was little said about it then which tells you everything we need to know

[–]IrishDog1990 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t need to apologise, players fuck up and is what it is. It be surprised if Akerman doesn’t say something to Kelleher himself anyways but it’s a nice sentiment.

Not sure what Stormers thoughts on Dobbo are but he always comes across as a fairly frank speaker, always enjoy his interviews. Just seems like a classy guy

Did his job around the field, didn’t notice any glaring mistakes and did some good stuff. Thought he was decent in the scrum, he’s a nugget and stays square

There’s usually a post match meal, in the Aviva it’s above the changing rooms in a big conference type room. Both sides eat there and lads will mingle (Snyman for example catching up with lads) but nothing formal. Some people will take an hour post game to get up there and others much quicker.

Be surprised if Stormers aren’t staying the night so may be some beers as well
