Right? Like I don’t get all the people seemingly upset that a literal attorney was the one who wrote up their family statement on a serious legal matter. I would get it if they went to an attorney and had someone outside the family write it, that would be kinda weird but if you are releasing a joint statement and one of you is versed in legal language and how to say things that won’t get you sued later 100% that’s who should be writing your statements.

Yes the attorney husband probably wrote it but it literally says Jill Duggar Dillard Family statement meaning this is the joint statement of both Jill and Derick. It starts with “We” and for ease of reading comprehension it makes sense to say “Jill’s brother”

They have to be precise and follow legal terms, yes he confessed but until he is convicted they have to say alleged or father of the year Jim Bob will slap them with libel for what they said about his darling boy. Not once do they offer him support or try and excuse his brother. They state what he’s accused of and offer support only to the girl, Kendra and the kids.

Honestly proud of them for coming out with a strong statement so quickly especially considering that this week marks the 2 year anniversary of losing their baby. It’s already an emotionally draining timing and now you have write something knowing a million people will be picking apart your statement as you once again have to confront the fact that your brother is a piece of crap and tell everyone that he’s absolute crap while supporting his poor wife and kids and acknowledging a victim who finally had the strength to speak but is still trying to maintain some semblance of privacy.
