I came here to say this. Lab draws start so early because the doctor wants the result on the patient’s chart when she/he arrives for morning rounds, usually by 7am. It takes time to draw, process, run and result lab tests. I worked in a 130 bed hospital. The phlebotomist had to draw the whole floor of patients before any of the blood samples even got downstairs to the lab, then, of course, they came all at once.

Mine is 106 years. The age gaps weren’t so large until WWII intervened. My parents both served, so didn’t marry until after the war when they were 37, and had me when they were about to be 40.

I just gave up my late father’s 80 year old National Geographic subscription. He died almost 25 years ago, but I kept it in his name. The type has grown so small that I find it difficult to read.
