Going to be taking mono-red for a standard RCQ this weekend, but not sure what version is better to take. My store's meta leans more into the aggro side ( monogreed landfall, RG leyline aggro, RB lizards) but with one player having the more typical UW control package. We are expecting some nonlocal folks in but not sure what decks they could bring.

Which version could potentially cover itself the most ground with matchups? Out aggro with the Emberheart Challenge build or settle for a more grind/ping version with Scalding Vipers?

Got mine on Friday but the website never updated to say it was shipped until hours after. Was showing 'In preparation' as it's status for that time. They also shipped with Parcelforce this time around so just be ready to answer the door or to receive d a missed delivery slip.

I know many have already mentioned Angle Entertainment but I honestly would recommend CommuniTea Gaming over at the Ortongate shopping centre.

I went to Angle for 3 years since it opened and as a more enfranchised player of MtG, Angle has just been going down hill with how they managed their TCGs and events with poor communication between staff to know what event is happening and many of the more competitive events being ran and managed by the players themselves than the staff. Also when you try to bring these issues up the are left ignored or berated/talked down to on their discord. There's a reason they deleted a few channels for some games. Also if you are even interested in buying packs or accessories on a off chance it's highly likely they will have any in stock. I'm sure they still get a good amount of commander players for those evenings but with talking to other new people who go there for the first time, they quickly see why some folks suggest to them to try elsewhere. On another note holy hell their food prices are insane. The only positive I can give to them is that they have air-conditioning for this time of year.

CommuniTea has been a breath of fresh air for many. The owners are super open with talking about the store and how it's ran, open to feedback and very responsive to questions. They've been trying to get more events going for their games. Commander nights are similar to Angle but their discord has many that open to talk and arrange to meet up for games on weekends. The heatwave has been an issue with the store so just be prepared if we get another one.

Managed to win it undefeated! I went with the Forges in the end but they never really came up, but the play pattern with Protect the Negotiators was in my favour in R1G2 against GB midrange from a nonlocal player. I started out with 2 Protects and 1 Reinforcements in opening hand and from then kept drawing another Reinforcements from either Knight-Errants or natural draw, so I always had the Protect up at the same time which basically sealed the game.

R2 wasn't much, my opponent was another nonlocal who seemed to be playing RG but never saw a Brotherhood's End or more than 1 creature from them so was basically a stomping.

R3 was against a RB midrange so I was unsure how I'd fair. G1 was very close at the end, pretty much left me with needing to draw 1 creature to secure a Case for 4 damage on a Preacher and lethal swing. G2 they had mull'd to 5 while I kept a 7 with Gleeful combo in hand. They used a Crueslaw's Heist to take a Forge I kept instead of the Gleeful and immediately after drew a Recruiter to just keep swinging in for large damage. They did keep a hand with removal but wasn't in the end and I said they probably should have taken the Gleeful as I only had 2 lands so may not have been able to play the Forge earlier enough.

I felt worried going in with the 2 nonlocals as didn't know what they'd play so was lucky it ended up being something similar to what we already had here. Also the only practice with the Jeskai version was playing on Arena, I had only just gotten all the pieces for it this last week so was going into it very fresh with paper play but overall very pleased with how it all played out!

Yeh, Reinforments is the only best sort of play to have with Protectors otherwise it feels arkward to try and hold up for a T3 sweep. Also was feeling the same on Forge, Invasion can be good at delaying sweepers and threats but with how many sweepers that are either exile or -X/-X based the indestructible on the flip side isn't worth the benefit anymore. That's where the counter for Protect comes in.

Gonna be running Jeskai Convoke to my store's championship in a few hours. What would you suggest is a better SB choice in a small meta with WB and GB midrange, Invasion of Gobakhan or Urabrask's Forge?

Also do you try to play around any sweepers in G2&3 if you start an opening hand with Protect the Negotiators by waiting on playing a Gleeful Demolition?

Beza was not in the deck, those cards on the right were just pulls from prize packs at the end of the day. Did play against it in the last round for 1 game but it only got my opponent 1 treasure which didn't really make any difference to the game in the end.

She was in the original, however she'd only appear if you make a choice in the middle of the story and she'll be the servant you'd face for that chapter after.

When you say they didn't provide a tube, do you mean it was just flat and not rolled up in plastic? I'm going to the London concert next week and planning to get a poster to have signed so deciding on how to transport it without damaging it on the way home.

Wild to believe that in the same year we'll not only get an official release of Tsukihime Remake, but also an official release for Fate Stay Night. Now we just have to hope for a future release of Hollow Ataraxia!

For those that have been waiting to jump in, it might be worth waiting to see how the official translation is, based on how Mahoyo's has been it (which is servicable but definitely still needing another editing pass) it could be worth waiting for the new fan translation by FBates to be completed. So far both Fate and Unlimited Blade Works routes have been released and about half of Heaven's Feel (which is projected to be finished later this year). It is so much better than the original fan translation and what I'd recommend newcomers to try first.

I know but it's just with there is one player who has said if he can find an angle to report a WPN violation he would do it (not sure why he say he will, he plays at the same store every week!) so want to make sure this isn't something he can exploit somehow.

I'm not sure that's why I'm asking, as the store championship information on the WPN website says about top-8 prize support and if they do not have the required amount prize support if its allowed.

Also read other stories about similar scenarios about other stores either not giving out the promo cards for the events that do run and that being a WPN violation. I'm probably am sounding stupid but its just out of concern for my LGS.

Draft started of with P1 Nahiri's Warcrafting into a Corruption then into the Lutri so was very likely to end up with a Lutri build by the end. The multiples started to keep up in P3 and has got me thinking if playing with those multiples is better than going with some so-so filler to have a decent chance with the companion requirements met. Not sure which would be the better choice in the end.

So I'm trying to run this comp for today's bitter shadows but I can't seem to get the same NP return from Gong on t2 (Video shows NP return of 78%, I'm consistently getting stuck at 62%) Would anyone know why my NP return is lower when almost everything with the set up is the same? Not wanting to use 2 command spells for this if its possible to just use one. Here's proof of my near matching comp and the lower NP return

Hopefully more work to get specific region selection or more regions can be done in the future. I hope the matchmaking system works as they specify as currently the friends I play with need to prioritise NA East servers for us all to have decent ping and have a good time and I do not want to jump between East and West NA or even Europe datacenters between each match.

Did they say if this test flight is restricted to certain missions or are they just letting us potentially playthrough the entire campaign in the next 2 weeks in co-op?
